Look out 'cause here comes Rumble!

I liked the other version of Rumble they had out.. the one that looked sorta like RID X-Brawn with the hood being on one arm with the pile driver and the other with a regular hand.. this one just looks stupid IMHO.

You just missed our little conversation :wave

Yeah I realized that after I posted to first time.. didn't feel like reading through 4 pages :redface

*hates X-Brawn and his retarded bot mode*

*waits patiently for this version of Rumble/Frenzy/Bert/Ernie/whatever*

*just hopes there's hands hidden somewhere* :redface

Look at that image again - I think the wheels on both arms form piledrivers, but one is retracted and the other is extended:

There are no hands, just as there's sure to be no hands on the final design.

I'll be the disenting voice. I like the current design way better.

The original design was neat and innovative, but maybe it was a little too innovative. One whole side of his suspension is made up of his biceps. His transformation was likely a little too complicated for Hasbro's liking, and I'm betting the finished toy would've been pretty floppy after a few transformations. Still it would be nice to see if Hasbro ever made a r/l test-shot of that CG drawing just to try out the concept. As it is I'll take Rumble as he comes and be happy Alts aren't dead yet.

I'm already a member of the "prefers original MP-03" club, and I feel pretty much the same way about that Rumble drawing. The Rumble concept was exactly what I'd been wishing for in an Alternator for years - a totally innovative, non-conventional, RID-like TF-scheme that didn't have the front of a car for a chest or the back of a car hanging off its ass.

Besides which, it looked lean and limber, with GREAT legs/feet, and matched Rumble's character perfectly. The one we got, while more homage-y, looks a little awkward and silly with his big piledriver arms, huge torso, and tiny little cartoon gorilla legs.

Rumble, Rumble and Rumble. That's the Official name.

I was really hoping they would have used the Euro Civic, and not the Civic SI......but still the figure looks really good as does the car mode.....so I'm all good.

Screw that. I'm going to refer to him from this point forward as Safety Scissors. When the blue one comes out, his name will be Ticketmaster. And no one can stop me! :mwahaha

There ya go. Much better and IMO more suited for Rumble:thumb

Though I also like the current one, I think it screams RoadMaster bot or whatever the hell they're called. The design feels to, er, halfassed for an alt.

Looks a Prime mold again.

oh wait.... :redface
