Orignal Landcross vs Reissue Landcross

Recommended Posts

I have been interested in purchasing the DX Micromaster Reissue of Landcross and was wondering if there are any variations between the original and this reissue. If so what are they and is it worth getting the reissue set?

And off note, I am neutral on the movie until it comes out, i give no praise nor will i Starscream.

Also my Titanium Optimus and Megatron have NONE of the quality control problems that everyone has experienced on here :tfdance

They are virtually the same.... so unless you want the original boxset box, or boxes.... you can save money by just getting the reissue.

I have the knockoff, and I highly recommend either the original or the reissue. The KO is a piece of crap :tdown

if you go to http://www.tfu.info, there is minor changes to the crotch plate and color differnences. The color on the re-issue is so much better, cheaper too!

The original has more stickered details such as windows.

However, on the reissue, the individual bots have much better paint on their faces.

At best, it's 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other.

Personally, I'd say buy the reissue.

Generally speaking, the differences are:

+ Individual faces are all repainted with individually painted eyes on the reissues. On the originals, the eyes are the same colour as the faces.

+ No stickers - all details that were stickers on the original are now painted.

+ Each robot has an Autobot insignia stamped on them. On the original, the individual robots did not have insignias, only Landcross had insignias on the chestplate which was part of stickers.

+ Reissue Tacker's green is darker than original's.

+ Dash's thighs were originally black but dark silver/grey on the reissue.

+ Original Tackle is vermillion with more painted details whereas reissue is orange with less detailed paint apps. - reissue Tackle is arguably the worst looking of all the reissues when compared to the originals.

+ Wing and Waver have variations in paint accents where yellows are substituted with silver and black with dark silver/grey.

Note that the originals are more show-like, so if you're the kind of person who's into show-likeness, go for the originals.

I have the reissue set. Landcross is just not that great of a toy (and i LOVE G1 Japanese). I would not pay for an original.

Serious? I love Landcross! The gimmick rocks and IMO works better than the Energon Powerlinx gimmick! IMO they're a seriously fun set of toys to play with!

The concept is great but the micromaster line doesn't fit the victory line. It should have been in a sub line or G2 era.

The thing about their gimmick it works. Most of the E powerlinx look akward.
