Movie Toy pictures

Recommended Posts

The more I look at the new molds, the more I like them. Screamer really does look very nice when you take away the rose tinted glasses, he has a kind of general grunt look to him. I think I can figure out how he transforms, would have to see a picture of his alt mode to be able to fully figure it out. But I am really liking what I'm seeing.

I think I've figured out Blackout's transformation as well now, just the upper torso is a little hard to figure out, but I think I've almost got it worked out. The pictures are good, but they don't have much light that helps to see the figure. The rest are hard to figure out, but I like what I see.

Even if the movie turns out to be terrible or merely average, the toys themselves look to be worth waiting for. Just have to wait till the movie is released, not all that long really.

There is only "1" movie seekah :mwahaha

I will personally throw RIBFIR Her Pleasure at anyone who disses the toys before actually seeing the production models fully painted. These designs may (and probably will) change slightly before the finished product.

oh crap, I can't handle ANOTHER "they changed Starscream's prototype" debate :tflaugh

On one hand I think I am dissappointed with how over the top these robots are. So many mechanisms and such. Not to mention that Screamer looks like he has Waspinator's head.

On the other hand, I was kinda looking to save up some money to buy a house. So far, the only ones I would HAVE to get would be Prime and Bumblebee, in what ever Camaro version.

I was expecting Alternators or MP style TF's. Not buddies from the dancing robot car commercial.

Still think the movie will be good.

Fixed. :mwahaha

Another thing I don't get. What about these designs could possibly strike anyone as earthbased. Yes they have to follow the rules of physics but everything about the way any of these are being presented are IMO as alien as it gets. Is it just me or is this lameass excuse to support mass shifting and what not. Mass shifting I will admit is cool in concept and would give the creators to present the characters closer to there original G1 forms but why in the hell would anyone want that? I know I'm not wearing green tinted aviators here but the new designs next to the simplistic designs of the 80s really don't strike me as all that interesting for a live action movie. There's absolutely nothing new or exciting about doing the same design/transformatin again and again. I know that fan made transforming CGI shot of Prime is very cool, and well presented but it's boring as hel because there's absolutely no inovation in having a stood up flat nosed semi. It was awsom 20+ years ago but for 2007 a general audiance needs a bit more to interest them than CGI represenatives of the toys they grew up with. If this was a period piece set in 84 I'd be all for it but for 2007 it's got to change. And fwiw I'd rather see a film with real world physics opposed to "mass shifting" anyday. Mass shifting afterall was just a nice explanation for all the scale/transformation cheating in animation and nothing more.

*thinks Loki's last post couldn't be said any better*

Transformers change from Robot to Alt mode, concepts change and evolve over time, like art movements.

Welcome to the 21st century, asthetics have moved on. And about f***ing time too.

You know, I do like the new Starscream, even if it bears no resemblance to the original outside of being a jet, but it occurs to me that BM Jetstorm's design actually makes a lot more sense. Why waddle around on little chicken legs? Flying bots should remain airborne!

Also, the decidedly Transtechy designs employed in this film are going to make the more G1-styled Optimus look noticeably out of place, unless the other Autobots have more of a man-in-suit aesthetic.

Those are my only real criticisms, and they're both minor. Can't wait to see more protos!
