Geez, this is one Fugly Optimus Prime. I know I'm known for my dislike for Optimus Prime, but this toy is just another indication of how Hasbro is taking advantage of people who do like Optimus Prime.

ya rly, classics twin pipe blaster just screams, "I'm here to f*ck you up" it's just mean looking.

The only thing about this guy is, I already bought the 8" RM knock off that I was planning on modifying. Depending if this guy is tall enough, I may just wait for him to come out and switch to modifying the classics one.

 

Also, if it's a VS pack that includes that Megs tank, it's perfect. (I'm going to be making Bludgeon out of that guy)

Im definatley looking forward to this. This new mold looks pretty cool and the fact that it comes with Tank Megs makes it a no brainer. Wether its offically in the Classics line or not, it'll be a worthy addition.

This figure is very different to RM Prime, it is not a slight remold.

I don't know why, but I'm just not impressed with this guy either. I think the more I look at it, the more I prefer the RM version. Good thing I wasn't too attached to 2-pack Megs.

 

Edit: Looking at that RM version again, I think I do know why. All the little extra dealies they added like the redundant kneecaps and fancy doodads on his codpiece just seem out of place on a G1-styled Convoy. I guess I'm just partial to the simplicity of the original.
