Classics VS 2pack Optimsu Prime!

Recommended Posts

i'd also like to point out that i'd prefer a red back of the head tab (ala PM prime) than see a blue head in alt mode.

:pfx red would look better there. This is still just a proto, so that could be changed.

It also looks like he's got loads of articulation as well as a interesting transformation scheme.

looks like the hybrid PM Prime/G1 Prime transformation scheme we've been seeing for a while now

Am I missing something?

2 pack?

I like his look. It's a G1 Prime that fits in with the current figures. It does look like RM prime put he's been upgraded with a better look. Glad they took care of that gap between the cab and wheels that RM Prime had. The only problem I have is that the legs to squish in vehicle mode. His back end sticks out to far.

When I look at the pics I think there may be some added twists and turns...I'm not completely convinced that there is a second set of windshields on the chest area. Of course, I don't have one to comfirm this or anything. It just looks like there are some parts that fold in and twist around.

EDIT: Okay, I see what they did now - the upper area of the cab (the windshields) swivels around and the front wheel area folds up to make his lower torso area. Neat.

Hmm... not sure how to feel about this. I've been collecting Robotmasters for a while now (just got Skywarp and Thundercracker), and G1 Prime is the only original mold I don't have, other than "Reverse" Convoy. In a way this might save me some money, but I'm not sure if I prefer it over the original. It's obviously more complicated, but I'm not sure if I'm feeling it.

another point i wanted to make... if this is a titanium fig, i'll preorder it faster than you can say t!ts are t!ts :redface

It is looking like the designers are more and more sacrificing the alt modes for a great bot mode. I am all about having awesome bot modes, but they still need to be able to transform into something half-way decent and convincing. This just isn't doing it for me.

you know, i'm actually starting to like the delux versions better than the mega-sized versions since the smaller ones have better transformations.

g1 prime - trailer is pretty much a deluxe by today's standards
