i just don't think he fits with what the classics like is supposed to be. Original classics OP does that nicely. of course this one has more posability than RM prime plus he's probably going to be voyager class so he'll be worth the purchase. Oh wait "two pack" probably implies two deluxes....

I would just like to point out that at no time have we ever heard anything to indicate that either this Optimus Prime or the tank Megatron we've seen are being released as "Classics". The link between these guys and the TF Classics happened because the first proto pictures of tank Megs appeared along with Classics Mirage.

Generation 2 Anniversary figures?

 

I'm pretty sure they are Classics, though. I kind of like this Prime, but I like the other Classics Optimus much better. Same goes for Megatron.

 

Optimus's eyes are so buggy. They look like giant splotches of play-doh on his face. I hope they fix that, if it's not just an optical illusion from the green goop. Also, am I the only one really surprised that a Classic's figure is so similar to the original? It's the only one that's hardly been redesigned!

I would have preferred a G2 homage, and I was actually expecting one, which may be why I'm a little disappointed. An updated version of Laser Rod OP would kick ass.
