Recommended Posts

didn't see this posted, thought it might be interesting to know:

BTW, for those of you asking:

1- None of the Mars story, launch footage, and rover footage is going to be in the movie.

2.- Yes, Bay did shoot the rover footage.

edit: also some info from the company who designed the transforming title logo:

Like any of this was a surprise?

So they are actually trying to make us think that the Name Transformers in really folded up to form the 7.4.7.?? It looked cool but it juse seemed like every thing just balled up and then the 7.4.7 flashed on the screen real fast. like the Atari logo

Sorry, Mr. Bay but you and your buddy Don have denied so many rumors that both of your credibilities have been shot to pot.

I wonder if the "mars story" is going to be relevant to the movie. Just because the footage or that scene its self isnt in the movie - it could still be in continuity.

If not -well then the trailer is SOLELY tone.....

which i guess is ok too.

good thing none of that is in the movie.  *waits for Michael Bay the movie*

If none of the Mars story is used in the movie, what the hell is the point of the trailer?

That's what the entire trailer is about!?

I think people are ignoring the fact that (as LMH points out quite often) the TONE/STYLE of this movie more than anything else is whats going to allow it to sink or swim.

If they whip out a cheesy 80s Renanomics cartoon - the general public is going to laugh them out of business.

IF the trailer has done NOTHING but establish tone to the american public - that is a good thing.

Indeed. I'm pretty sure the overall style will be the same- but I knew none of that would make it to the movie. Plus, it would really suck for TFs to live on Mars.
