I actually really liked the idea that Ultra Magus used his trailer as enhancing armour, as for looking like a white Prime whats so hard to accept? take Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Thrust, Dirge, and Ramjet,  who all look alike to each other yet are all different characters.

It's not a matter of liking it. I mean I'd prefer Magnus's armor to be the real him too, but I wasn't whining when I found out it wasn't.

 

Besides, it's official. There's NO logical debate in this. And if someone's Starscreaming about how the comics "retconed" it to be like that and there's no proof that it was like that in the 80s show... do you guys honestly want the G1 writers to guide you with EVERYTHING? :roll

I really dont see why everyone wants to go back to it, Okay, so it's where Transformers began, but it's because of 'Fair weather fan-boys' (Several of which I know  :tfmad ) That Prime will always be a sodding Semi!

It didn't. It was just differant to G1.

All the series since G1 have had their bad points, but simmilarly they also have their good points (Even Energon I guess...)

oh nothing much except for the fact that back in the day optimus prime and ultra magnus are and always have been brothers to one another.

 

that dion did in fact get rebuilt by alpha trion into  ultra magnus who outside of his tralier armor is a white ans silvery blue colored prime.

 

in other words he is optimus's twin brother.

 

at least so far as the cartoon and dreamwave comics are concerned

Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus were never "brothers" in the G1 comic at all. Ultra Magnus was initially one of the Wreckers, although he left the Wreckers in search of Optimus Prime during the Time Wars.

By the same token, Unicron has never denied that he created the Care bears to fight a massive inter-stellar war against the My little pony invaders.

All I know is that Ultra Magnus is not depicted as a white Prime in his original G1 boxart.

 

And as far as continuity...I don't really care. I just know white Prime repaints are TEH LAYZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's not really a repaint.. (re: Diaclone) at least, not in the same context as most Transformer repaints.
