G1 and Primal never needed super modes, or using big overly large weapons...no, they pounded their enemies the old fashioned way.

 

Modern Primes are wimps....RID had some class, and Armada at least tried, but the last two. "Look a fight, quick get in the armour before they see us, cause we'll get pwned otherwise"

Total agreement with you! didn't like Megazord Prime, and the armada version.... a weak clone of God Ginrai! However did like the Rodimus from Energon!

 

Hopefully the next Transformer to have the name Optimus Prime will kick ass and take names without needing a super mode to do it!

My favorite prime/convoy and in my opinion the best.

I am not sure - in the 3 or 4 episodes i have seen all Prime does is stand around lecturing to people about how IMPORTANT this battle is while no one really does ANYTHING.  And then when the Decepticons defeat said person or steal said object - they all act surprised -BUT NO ONE DID A GODDAMNED THING!! WTF?!?!

I am not sure - in the 3 or 4 episodes i have seen all Prime does is stand around lecturing to people about how IMPORTANT this battle is while no one really does ANYTHING.  And then when the Decepticons defeat said person or steal said object - they all act surprised -BUT NO ONE DID A GODDAMNED THING!! I don't know what episodes you saw but there was a period of time when "Prime" was questioning his leadership and slacked off on his duties in commanding his troops. There was even a point when he didn't want anyone to do anything.

Oh, let's not throw in any realism. :wtf There can be times a leader questions himself. G1 Prime had his moments as well. It's just that some "younger" folks and others don't really remember them as well as they think.

For those that obviously missed it, Prime DID defeat a powered up Galvatron, with only the help of Vector Prime's sword. He wasn't weak at all.

Maybe not but he doesn't fight all that well against him until episode 49...

He never fought that well against him...EVER...the last good Prime fight I saw was Armada Vs Galvatron.....Energon used th\at stupid "he grows huge for no reason" thing way too much. and the only time I remember Prime fighting Megs as himself in Cybertron he got pwned. I'm telling you, the Megatron's aren't getting dtronger, the Primes are getting weaker

Since the show is about selling toys, unfortunately every Prime that has a toy made w/super mode, will always rely on the super mode in the show dedicated to that toy.
