Turbomaster Devastator?

Recommended Posts

so i was getting scans ready for my turbomasters catalogue and i'll be danged, but they had the 6 constructicons pictured on there. So were these released on turbomaster cards? or were they re-issued on classic G1 cards, were they even released with this set? any and all help would be welcome. :tfhuh

I assume that the "Euro-G1" Constructicons were released on cards similar to the rest of the toys in that series.

However, they didn't come with the pieces to form Devastator, and apparently, there was also a bit of remolding on some of them that prevents them from forming Devastator even if you had the components.

They're pretty much the same as the G2 releases, with the exception of a few parts being grey instead of yellow, though.

And "Turbomaster" was just the name of the new Autobot subgroup for that year (with the new Decepticons being "Predators"), not the name of the entire series.  Featured in that series were the aforementioned Constructicons, as well as the "Rescue Force", which consisted of Autobot repaints of four of the Liokaiser components, with some new accessories (noteably, claws instead of Killbison's cannons).

Erm, UK did get G1 and G2 Devastator as well.  These were pretty much just a filler release.

worst filler evar

but for the most part they were new molds, better than what we saw at the end of the US line, and led the way for some of the G2 bots and the clear eyepieces that we still see today.

Yes also remember that toys released in Europe as a whole (err western Europe that is) seemed to move throughout the area easily.

Also yellow Constructicons were released in 1985 or 1986 in France or some goofy place like that. Those one did come with Devestator parts. The only difference between them and these UK ones (besides obvious packaging) is the UK ones have some gray parts.
