Stasis pods

Recommended Posts

Quickstrike is unique you know, unless you count rampage, as he doesn;t have a pred chip

They definetly had lives. Thy were a crew. Not passengers. Which means they must have had training. Also, Silverbolt and Tigatron both bring up their missing memories

maybe implanted memories?

*waits for X-Bob to reply*

Yes. The Protoforms(minus X) were all freash sparks with bodies born on earth. They had adult TF intelegence and memories becuse of thier Datatrax. Tigatron, Inferno, Silverbolt, Quickstrike, and Transmutate had damaged Datatrax.

Rampage was a protoform. He was converted before transport. Thje stasis pods seem to be used as an easy transport method.

Yes, but X still retained his persona and memories from Cybertron. He was not a "newborn." The others all have no traces of any pre-existing personalities or memories before their activation on Earth, which strongly indicates that they are new borns. Transformers don't need to go into cryo-stasis on long voyages, since they're basically immortal (they don't die from age). If it's a matter of fuel conservation, then you would simply shut your crew off and reactivate them later - you would have them in stasis, yes, but you wouldn't erase their minds. That would be immoral (not even X was subjected to mindwiping, and he was a mass-murderer).

That is starting to make sense, but still inconsistant for my logic, which is, BTW, that every form of intelligent life does, or at least should have, humanlike gender and reproduction(including alien robotic life-forms such as the TFs). I do realise it's illogical to think that every form of intelligent life would have such reproduction methods, but it's far better than just building your offspring.

Plus I'm aginst referring to things, in particular living things with a mere cosmetic gender, as such. Your friend build a "female" robot? Well then it better be able to give birth to a robo-baby, because if it don't, I'm not gonna refer to it as a 'she'.

What's this have to do with TFs in staisis pods? Well, lots, because if they're "born" in them, it contradicts my logic.

Meh, I'm the same with transexuals. My opinion on things might be wrong(or just very, very wierd), but it's me, and I'm not changing it.

granted, you can't say an opinion is wrong.

I tell people that all the time.  Uninformed opinions are usually wrong.

Why?!

I do realise it's illogical to think that every form of intelligent life would have such reproduction methods, but it's far better than just building your offspring.

I can understand why you would insist that organic intelligent life should reproduce sexually - since sexual reproduction is better for higher evolutionary adaptation, which coincides with the notion that highly intelligent life must have evolved that way... asexual reproduction produces far less genetic diversity and has a far narrowers cope of evolution.

But Transformers are ROBOTS. If they need to evolve in order to adapt to changing conditions, they will simply upgrade themselves (e.g.: Maximal Upgrade enforced on all Cybertronians in order to conserve Energon).

Secondly, organic reproduction is impossible with machines -- even if Transformers had genitalia (they don't - don't even try to argue with that or I shall have to say "Ni" to you), they don't have genetic data in the form of DNA (or even RNA) that they can pass onto offspring.

The words "male" and "female" are actually used incorrectly when referring to Transformers. When we say "male" and "female," we actually mean "masculine" and "feminine." And you can have masculine and feminine concepts attached to genderless things, such as colours (e.g.: blue, pink) and words (e.g.: loco, loca) etc. We say "male" and "female," because those were the words coined by G1 writers. It's kinda like how Orcas are called Killer Whales, even though they're technically a species of dolphins, not whales.

If it makes you feel better, refer to them as "masculine" and "feminine" Transformers... because this isn't an opinion but a fact: Transformers are genderless (as far as lacking opposing sets of genitalia are concerned).

So... when a new nation is "born," then it requires a male and female nation to Powerglide and wait for a certain period of gestation before going into labour?!  The word "birth" can mean "commencement" and is a synonym for "beginning." Hence the start of new TF life can be said to be a birth.

he was also immortal and it was likely impossible to damage his data tracks

Organic reproduction isn't impossible for machines. Well, for Earth machines yes, but if you think that how this planet's life evolved is the only way for a civilization to evolve, you're ignorant. And if you don't belive that TFs can evolve, look at GF/Cyb Vector Prime compared to the rest of the TFs on that show.

You're probably not even wating to consider nanomachines. It's entirely possible for them to function like cells in an Earth creature, and even reproduce by either expanding on themselves and eventually splitting apart or building each other from scratch.

You're thinking only by primitive standards(this is by NO means an insult... it just means that you're not considering what alien life forms are capable of). You probably don't even think mass shifting is possible.

That's not a fact, as it hasn't been proven yet. Neither has my opinion.

I know that.

And it's extremely illogical to think that the TFs can travel at more than light speed through the universe, but not be able to have such an advanced function themselves. Remember that we're able to do so much, but we don't even completely know how our own bodies keeps us alive, the nature of DNA reproduction, and many more things. The same could be said about ANY form of alien life.

But like I said, I didn't come to argue. If you're gonna respond to this post, pls let me keep my ignorant views and don't try to forcibly change them. Thank you.

*points at current existing canon* It's a fact. They do not sexually reproduce. If you're going to postulate otherwise, provide canonical evidence.

And nobody's "forcibly" changing your ignorant views. It's called a rebuttal.
