Stasis pods

i highly doubt that tf's have some nanotech equivilent to sexual reproduction as "females" are just too damn rare. less than 1/100 tf's are actually "female" so there's no way they could sustain a viable "breeding" population.

What we've seen in the shows right now are mainly soldiers fighting a war. Their females could be at home mothering their offspring :tflaugh

Lazerblast: Actually, in G1 the female Decepticons are non-combatants whose only role are to nurture young Decepticons - this was pointed out in the last issue of the Transformers Victory manga. However the same story does NOT explain where the juvenile Transformers come from... in other words, it does NOT state that the male and female Transformers cooperated to create the Sparks of their juveniles, so this still cannot be used as any canonical proof of "sexual" reproduction. As far as all existing canon has demonstrated thus far, Transformers do not sexually reproduce. You need to accept this. You may not like it, but it's time to build a space bridge and get over it :P :) (or just go get yourself some TF SPAM - and all TF SPAM is out of continuity, so don't try citing that crap, buddy! - besides, it's not as if AI ever had babies after being gangbanged by Combaticons... err, not that I'm into TF SPAM... EEEP!! :redface  ).

greensight: Nice try. But from what I gather reading those links, Redline and Falcia created Twirl by retrieving her pre-existing Spark from the Linkage (which appears to be a lot like the All-Spark Matrix). It looks pretty similar to what Rhinox did when he retrieved Primal's Spark from the ASM... and as Redline and Falcia point out - the answer is a clear "NO!" ;)

In order for something like that to be considered sexual reproduction, we would need to see two Transformers' Sparks cooperating to create a new individual Spark. Tigerhawk doesn't count, because his Spark is a merger between Tigatron and Airazor's Sparks. Lio Junior and Dinobot II are better examples of what I'm talking about, but their Sparks were spliced off a single parent, so it's still an asexual form of reproduction.

P.S.: Seriously... I don't own TF SPAM. I've seen it, but I don't own any nor am I into that Blot. Please believe me. Please.  :tfsad

I personally have a slight feeling that a select few did have TFs had their sparks and personalities transferred to protoforms for easy storage and not taking as much space as they would if they were all activated.

But then again, there's proof that says otherwise.

Yeah, this is what I think too. Stasis pods were just containers for raw materials sort to speak.

transformers do not reproduce sexually.

the g2 comic firmly puts those rumors to bed because it shows how in ancient cybertron they reproduced asexually (which is how the second generation of transformers came about) and also how the swarm was created as a side effect.

my guess about the stasis pods is that they must have been alive beforehand but datatracks got damaged when they fell to earth. (in silverbolt and quickstrike's case the beast personallity contribute to the tf personallity.) The transformers are aware of their identities as soon as they come online (as seen in the key to vector sigma when the stunticons and arielbots introduce themselves.) it is possible that the axalon stasis pods were not pre-existing as they don't have memories of their life before apart from Rampage who had lived but was forced into stasis.

tfs when they have lived before can remember their previous experiences to a degree, for example, in Rid Scourge is aware he has lived before and his previous mission leading to his discovery and knowledge of Fortress Maximus' location

Scourge could have gotten that info from his Datatrax.

Scourge could have gotten that info from his Datatrax.

he stated that it was his mission before stasis though

((I'm not getting into the TF sex thing its very very very very creepy))

It could be possible that some stasis pods weren't complete blanks with data inserts.  Like some had some type of training and whatforth.  We know tfs a immortal for the most part and time really doesn't affect them, but the spaceship really did need anyone but the pilots active, and the stasis pods would lessen weight and fuel useage ((I guess))  Sorta like in the TF moive with astrotrain, and too much weight.  It would need more fuel, life support and etc if they were all active...

But I'm not a rocket expert so yeah whatever.
