Alt. Prime Deserves Not To Suck (so I did this)

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the how to, Minion. As soon as I get an extra I'm doing this to him, but I did try the leg extension and like you said, they do extend. It was as easy as you said it would be. Now my Prime's a little bit taller.  :thumb

Wait a minute. When you guys say the legs extend and it's not in the instructions, what do you mean. the legs extention step is in the instructions. Are you saying that the legs extend even further?

Yeah, T. that's what I'm saying. Like you said, I moved them a little during initial transformation, but never bothered to try it any further until Minion posted his/this thread.

I'm shocked that every one didn't know by know that they extend. BainReese talked about it in his gallery thread. In other thread, owners discuss pulling the legs down with blind faith hoping they extend. I will admit, the thigh joint streching got me scared. Once I saw it in the instructions, I just pulled them down with doing all that bending the knee stuff the was discussed earlier. Just pull em.

I think just the fact that the legs can extend makes this figure so much better.  Even without all of the work in modifying Prime, being able to make him taller is a fine improvment.

Now, if only we could paint that section of the legs silver, without ending up with paint scraping off when he's transformed to truck mode.

Come ON Minion Work with us You drop this bomb of kick ass on us and then leave us hanging!  Give us something anything to wet our pallets a little more.

he is taller cool. that was my main problem with that guy. nice job!

I have to admit that he looks less sucky - just glad they've decided to experiment with Alternators and that Has/Tak did this to Optimus Prime and not some other characters.

ok I have just modified mine with your instructions.. now, how to connect the shield to his arm?

u know... it actually reminds me of the Sideswipe with his boot at his chest...

for toses who are interested : I found a crappy Ko 20th prime who had a gun that fits perfectly to alt prime :
