G2 Beast Wars

1. he was SELF delusional.

2. notice i said It had changed because of the experiments? it's the same BASIC form, but it's not 100% identical.

3. Notice when I said he was self delusional? he knew he shouldn't have trusted Dinobot when he was acting weird, and couldn't take the loss. the only thing he could think of was it was the beast mode's fault. he had put a lot of importance in it in the few episodes before Nemesis.

A shell program is a program inserted into a transformer which alters their programming, mking them maximal or predacon. It does not create an entirely new individual

you're describing what Tarantulas' shell program did. There's no evidence to indicate that what he did was the only thing you could do to a Transformer.

And anyway, I'm sick and tired of people ragging on Beast Machines because it was different from Beast Wars. So friggin' what.

so basically, your making this up as you go? cause, there's no evidence for anything your saying in the show

go back and watch the episodes. the beast mode changed because he Powerglideing experiemented on it.

besides, my assertions have been backed up by people who have watched it recently, including the God Of Beast Machines Knowledge, madhammer. he's watched the series I don';t know how many times.

If your going to make a show a sequel to something, it helps to have  real basis not a lose one. I don't hate it cause its not like BW, I hate it cause its bad and makes no sense.

The only time a shell program is ever referred to is the ones used to turn Black Arachnia and Inferno into predacons. There's no evidence that it was ever used in the vehicons. Also, like I said, the write in an interview I saw a while back said it was all Rhinox's decision to go whacko, a response to the trauma or something. Odd, Silverbolt went broody, but he didn't go all world dominating :redface

I want you to name one case where Megs said something like ''I mutilated my best mode in an attempt to free myself from it, even though that makes no sense when you consider my character and also why have I stopped say ing yess, I liked saying yesss, Any I mutilated my form and it was so bad my eyes changed colour and red appeared on my neck, even though that bit should be yellow''

He went broody because he knew he liekd being evil while he was Silverbolt. Hell, I can get you a link that summerizes that episode!

I know, I never said why that. I said Silverbolt goes broody, but Rhinox turns into Hitler? yeah, I'm not buying that. the flower child wants to take over the world, and the knight becomes depressed.....

the shell program was still in effect. Yes, he made the choise himself, but he wasn't fully himself. He was still udner it's influence.

edit: to further exlain my point...

He gained his personality back. WHat he didn't gain what his morals. He still had the morals of tankor.

and besides, in Season 1 of BW, Rhinox was turned evil by Megatron. In the episode, he acted an awful lot like he did in BM.... go watch it, and then watch an BM episode with tankor in it ot get my point.

Rhinox displays the same pathological behavior in "Dark Designs" in Beast Wars when he's zapped by Megatron's "instant evil" ray.

What you're referring to is Bob Skir's belief that Rhinox willingly chose to go his own way, rather than as the result of some sort of tampering by Megatron. In other words, the "real" Rhinox emerged from Tankor, not some evil version of him.

I don't have a problem with that (especially since the story editor is the one saying it), but it honestly doesn't match up that well with how Tankor/Rhinox behaves. So I'm fine with that being the official explanation, but personally it seems a lot more like Rhinox was acting "under the influence", as it were.

I also just thought about Rhinox/Tankor's inability to attack Megatron. Megatron said that he couldn't do it because it was "hardwired into [his] programming". I'm thinking, if Rhinox was actually "the real Rhinox" at that point, would he have been subject to Tankor's programming anymore? Why would that failsafe still have worked if Rhinox was genuinely freed of Tankor's influence?

just thoughts, like I said it doesn't bother me what happened with Rhinox.

Your right it doesn't match up, like a million other things in this show. Basically, if the story editor says it, its true, its like an author telling why things happen in a book. It makes no sense that gentle Rhinox would go his own way like this. Thats whats wrong with this show. Half of it makes no snese, and the half that does makes very little

In Dark Designs, the reprogramming, which was very shoddy work if you ask me, pushed his aggresion circuits to the edge. He basically went nuts. But the Tankor thing was different, he hadn't been reprogrammed in the same way, he'd got screwed up by his experienes.

All in all, this show rnks just above Energon for worst Transformers show ever. Only the fact that it was well written, for all its nonsense, stops me from putting it below Energon
