the g1 megatron has never gotten the kind of recognition that starscream and prime did.  I mean they are basically the same design in every line, but megs changes... always.

Can I have that.

Also, does his hand retract and did you build an energon mace like Prime has his axe.  For his transformation, does he also have the stock and barrel extensions like the original toy?

The two most iconic characters from Transformers were always Optimus Prime and Starscream for some reason. Personally I think it's because Megatron was a bit of a one-note character, whereas Starscream had a bit more going on personality-wise.

Plus, Megatron was *destroyed* in G1, in the sense that once TF:TM happened, you were never going to see that character again. He had turned into Galvatron and Megatron was gone forever. Both Starscream and Optimus Prime, on the other hand, returned -- as themselves.

The logic is working Madhammer.  That's so true.  Though Galvatron had only a brief, very brief at that, stint in the comics while he remained on the show for Season 3 and Headmasters/Rebirth.

They could Alway make Megaplex or Browning.

I think the fact that he went from "I'm Megatron, and I'm evil" to "I'm GALVATRON and I'm KARRAAAAAZZZYYY!! Booga booga booga! Does this bother you?! Huh? I'm not touching you baby, does it bother you?" kinda destroys the character a bit.
