Don't you get it? there already real, everytime I look at the sky at night, I know that one of those stars is Cybertron. It's real Man!

I know you were probably kidding and you're gonna think I'm crazy, but I swear I talked to Dinobot on a Ouija board.....

Don't worry. It's already in the works.

IS THIS FOR REAL!@#!$!@!!!

It looks like bumblebee will be the first, i mean its a yellow mini, and the head even looks similar!!!

... man this is friggin awesome!!!

NO, of coarse its not real, its CG as hell. Ever notice that he pulls a screen behind it in almost all of the "tests" its about as real as the texas chansaw massacer.

fair nuff :tfhuh

but we can still dream

I think he puts up the screens so the mech can be seen without obstructive background.

yeah? i really dont know much cgi stuff, but man, it looks pretty awesome!

what i want to know is if there is anyone who can honestly say they know for 1000% sure that is a fake? or is everyone assuming based on things that just seem to look wierd in the pics? i would think anyone with some expertise in photography would be able to tell ya what if anything in those pics are fake.

from what i've seen of advances in robotic technology, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that (or something like it) did exist somewhere.

it's not hard to imagine an insanely rich transformers fan with nothing better to do with a billion dollars than build himself a real working transformer. i have no doubts that there are people, maybe even big developers, out there right now trying to build them. only time will tell if they succeed.

Forget the thousands of obstacles involved. The functionality of a transforming robot isn't very high in my opinion. You'd lose efficiency of the robot form by having all the mechanisms to complete the transformation as well as having parts that must perform dual functions.

One of my favorite transformations is Warpath. It seems to be a realistic transformation, plus it seems to be advantagous to transform.

Take a look at Macross (Robotech); the military developed transformable fighters to combat the Zentraedi with some sense of equality. (considering that they were 40 feet tall!) If the need arises, and the funding is there, anything is possible.

As for practical, no one ever thought telephones would ever be portable, and who thought that in the 1950's the first computer, called ENIAC, would evolve in 50 short years into something you could set on your table or even your lap.

We can't begin to see what is possible in the future, or what applications that such technology will fill. (although military applications will most certainlt be among them). As for the transformers themselves, their technology is so far ahead of ours, we wouldn't know where to begin. We haven't even mastered space travel yet, but inthe world of the transformers, they have starships, as well as a myriad of other technologies that continue to elude us.

In short, it's possible and practical. Just not right now(give it about 200 years! :D)

Actually, todays Graphing Calculators are more powerful than ENIAC, lol
