That looks awsome dood. :thumb

Rather than suggest larger arms and legs, I thought cutting out some of the lower belly would be better.

If the arms became part of the vehicle it could solve the problem. Notice in my choppy rendition the forearms would be the fender and wheel. The upper arms could fold in much like G1 Primes did to create a filler in the side door and provide the medic emblem that's already featured further back on the side entry. The hands could just fold inwards to fill the front end but would be visible but not overly. The bumper would also need to be on a swivel to hinge upwards and fill the lower body. The waist would need to be mounted higher on the figure as well.

Regaurdless, it's a kickass bash you did. The Ironhide is excellent as well. :clap

I'm not a kitbasher, but is there a way the chest/front cab could collapse on itself.  Sort of like BT Sideswipe and Sunstreaker?  Maybe that would lessen the bulky upper torso?

But they look awesome!

Here's an idea...scoot the front end back so you can stick the shoulder joints out the windows! I think that would help immensely.

I think the Infiltration chest transformation scheme would have looked cooler, but then... well it really wouldn't be a Masterpiece anymore now would it? :D

That is cool as Hell!!! Reminds me of G1 inferno. The way the front end is still intact. Once again, Cool as Hell!!!

THe size of the chest is really the only problem, if you could find a way to have the arms and such farther forward that would probably help that though.  Still looks amazing though.

Thanks for the great comments everyone. I am going to have to figure out a way to move the arms forward for sure. I love Wikkid's idea of using a G1 Prime type arm transformation to cut down on the chest size (great graphic too Wikkid!). Putting the arms through the side windows is another good idea that's been discussed on other boards. However, it doesn't seem like it would work because of structural issues relating to the cab of the van (unless I nix the idea of having seats in there and make it more of a solid block for strength).

wow, thats kinda cool, got any pics of him  campared to MP Convoy/20th Prime?

Sure do. Keep in mind that the Ironhide/Ratchet prototypes are taller than the Vanette versions will be. The final versions will probably be more the height of Hound.

Try using a Alt Smokescreen face or something as the one you are using looks a little too small and humanly rounded although the size of the Helmet is Dead on to size with the rest of the body. (Might have to pick me up some of those model kits...Got a link?)

Right on TFM! I actually did use a cast of Smokescreens face. But as you see in the pic above, the overall bot is quite a bit larger than the rest, causing the smallish vibe on his face. I probably should have used a Lambor face instead. Here's a link to the VW kit :

I can't find any info/links about the Toyota kit, but I got mine on ebay and they do turn up occassionally over there. It's made by minicraft and is a 1/20th scale Toyota Sports Van.

Anyway, I appreciate everyones comments and suggestions. Thanks!

that group picture gives me emense fan wood :drool

Well, for putting the arms in the cab, you could go with an alt-Prime type method, and have the seats attached to the arms and fold into 'em...
