One Question

To fall in love...believe me I do it almost 7 days a week.  To fall in love with a pretty smile, the way a woman's hair flows gently down their shoulders.  The nape of a woman's neck and the way their eyes seem to light up the night sky.  The way you can get lost in them forever and if you keep talking with her...get to know her better and she gets to know you you start feeling romantic feelings towards her.  Based on pure astetics.  The "lust" factor aside there are times when you see a womanand see the pure beauty of her based on just theway she sits or the way she moves.  The way her beautiful mouth forms words and the brilliantly beautiful smile in her eyes and in her voice that follows every action.

I like a sheila with a capital set of knockers. :P :P

"G'DAY!" kk.jpg Mmm... white trash Bogan fresh...

Wiht this idea in mind, couldn't we say that the same thing that gets us about being attracted to someone we want to get to know is in the same thing at the heart of Robots being attracted to one another?  I would think that a bot would look at the glow of a Femmbot's optics, the way their brain case shines and their beautiful paintcoat.  The way their asymmetrical form glides with every step.  The beautiful sound of their voice modulator that tickles their audio receptors.  Things that inspire us to want to get to know a woman.  These are sexual in nature but it's about more than that.  It's the way you feel enamored for the one you feel amerous about.

As you said, this is overtly sexual in nature and as joshlowe has argued, should not be given serious regard.

What would attract Transformers to each other would be the nature of the "Spark" - in essence, finding a soulmate - but not a mate for procreation - hence physical aspects are largely irrelevant.

On the sexual nature (and I know I'm bringing up a LOT of Rattrap references), didn't Rattrap talk of a bar that he was going to take Dinobot to where the Femmbots weren't wearing their chestplates?  There MUST be some kind of sexual nature on Cybertron that we don't know of.  It's not going to be shown on a kids cartoon mind you but I do believe it's there just from that reference.

It's called humour. Sexual innuendo used as adult humour, but cleverly disguised to bypass censors. It's there to make the adult audience laugh and ought not to be given any more serious regard beyond that.

...Who know's, I could be wrong.  Maybe they'll dosomething on it in the movie.

...and this is why we don't let fanboys write movie scripts. :P

On that note though why couldn't there be some kind of physicality between Cybertronians?  The simple kiss speaks volumes.  Physically theorteically thinking these robots have pain and pleasure circuts.  "Nerve" endings.  A kiss is a pleasurable thing to have between two people.  Wouldn't they be emotionally saavy enough to want to share something as passionate as a kiss?

The kiss evolved amongst humans as a means of transmitting food/water/medicine between people, particularly to someone who, for whatever reason, was incapable of feeding themselves. Someone would pre-chew the food and then insert it into the patient's mouth via a kiss. I recall there was a scene in Genesis Climber MOSPEADA where Rei used a kiss to transmit water to Ariel.

Humans derive sensual pleasure from intimate tactile contact, which joshlowe argues is an extension of our sexual drive. There is no logical reason for Transformers to have this - unless, again, it could be a vestigial element of their organic origins. But this is currently unproven.

The only time we've seen Transformers physically attracted to each other and sharing physical intimacy with each other was on Beast Wars. My speculation is that this is a carry-over element from their beast psyches. As the episode "Call of the Jungle" demonstrated, the BW TFs are subject to the primal instincts of their beast modes. Tigatron taught them to live with their beast aspects rather than trying to fight it. As a result, it would not be completely unreasonable to presume that the BW TFs are capable of physical attraction and sensuality, as inherited from their beast forms.

..of course, it would mean that Blackarachnia would have an incredible urge to eat Silverbolt after mating... just as well Transformers can't mate... :P

I was just wondering, can Transformers have feelings about another Transformer and fall in love with that Transformer? Just a question......

i think the question is: SHould they waste their energy on something that'll prolly end up kickin them in teh bawls (metaphorically) and then spend the next millenium brooding and sulking?

the quote mc chris: "Love bites, love bleeds, love f*ckin sux!"

I wonder if it's a coincidence that Google decided that its advertisements for this page should be titled "Moral Compass" and "Emotional Intelligence."

:tfsad And I wanted a 3 phase step-down transformer.

1) Interesting, well thought out and, you gave me new wrinkles for my brain. :thumb

2) I remember that episode!  Luv Robotech!

And 3)  It must be the romanticin me that still thinks and believes that we all want that someone or someones close to you and that act of emotional and physical intimacy and longing can be shared between beings even if there isn't a physical sexual nature, there can still be an emotional longing shared between two beings of intelligence.  The thought between the lovers to want to be together even if it's by just holding hands, embracing and the kiss.  WHo hasn't been able to become lost in a kiss?

Please don't ever lump MOSPEADA and Robotech together again... they're not the same thing. Don't make me hurt you... :P :P

Better yet, who hasn't been able to become lost in a partner's gaze or by reading a piece of writing that they have composed.

While we may derive great emotional pleasure from a kiss or hold, it is still a moderate form of physical intimacy - the tactile contact triggering a physiological chemical response.

A better example would be deep non-tactile forms of romance. One example is the love scene in The Last Samurai (which is a good movie, in spite of Tom Cruise's appearance in it).

i can't believe i just read this thread....

:tard

I should be sleeping at this time (2:50 am)

Transfans are freak, do you got me?  :yay

I know what it is like to be in love, i'm in love with a guy who doesn't even like me, but i can't help but love him! Despite that my brother thinks he looks like a girl and needs a haircut badly but i don't care. I like him and have since last year when i was in gr.10. He wears glasses and has long hair that he keeps flipping out of his face sometimes and that just makes me go ahhh. :)

But i prefer anime guys for then ya don't get any rejection from them, and they look so much more better anyway.  :clap
