They need to re-release as many G-1 toys as possible, Also bring G-1 cartoons out of storage "shake the dust off of them"  :usa

As long as the G1 toys are Overlord, Victory Leo, Star Saber, big powered set, etc.

My thoughts:

 

1) Scale Issues!!! Err... yeah, scale issues! There should be something like 3 different (rough) "scales" of toys to stop the annoying inconsistancies! eg: Armorhide's a semi-truck and Ransack's a motorcycle, yet they're the same size!?! You could keep the same "size-classes" on the package, but lump each toy into one of 3 "scale-classes" so that they look good together. They wouldn't have to be Alternator 1:24 exact scales, just rough Small, Medium & Large Scales.

 

2) I really like the general trend of keeping all of the spare parts self-contained in both modes! This should be THE LAW! (For TF toys at least!?!) I've got my G1 DVD tin full of random missiles... :(

 

3) G1 homeages: DO IT PROPERLY OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL!!! (Soz for shouting!) I'm all up for a new take like Beast Wars, that was done really well. But Cybertron Megs & Galvy having the wrong colours? Wheeljack being called Downshift? Prowl being called Red alert? Either do it proper or leave it in the past!

1)i agree with the titan class idea as it would open up multi changers wich of late have been lacking because of the majority of figures beeing of small size. ie think of g1 sixshot size and then add a bit more and were getting somewhere

 

2)head masters would be cool and power masters so they make something cool like guns and superchargeed engines ya know anything cool

 

3)i agree that the blocky more detailed figures with less but stronger joints are preferable to the energon loads of week jointed figures

 

4)i love the idea of giant ships and bases that are fort max size. i dont know why hasbro never did it as surely they know most of their fans are adults so why not build a colossal figure and just aim it at older fans maybe put an age restriction on it. surely that would bypass the child safety laws

 

5) I WANT A GOOD SIZEED MENASOR WE HAVENT HAD ONE SINCE G1 AND IT WAS THE BEST COMBINER I WANT I WANT I WANT. and if hasbro dont want to mass produce just make me one and well do buisness

and without the whole mecha craze in japan we wouldn't have had g1 or transformers at all, g1 was based off the diaclone toys.  which i'm pretty sure was inspired by mecha anime.

actually, the official liniage is this:

 

hasbro makes GI JOEs

 

Takara imports them

 

Takara begins customizing them, Microman is born

 

Diaclone is born in the early '70s

 

Microman gets smaller figures, robots(Not sure when exactly the smaller figures come about)

 

Microchange, the sequal line to Microman focusing mostly/solely(Can't remmeber which) on robots comes out

 

Takara tries to market Diaclone in the US as Diakron, fails miserably.

 

takara approaches hasbro/Hasbro approaches Takara,and the rest is history.

i don't see how the female override is going to mesh well with the mannerisms of that character in the later eps

nitro convoy and flame convoy are both very fearfull of lorie's "womanly powers", not only that but nitro convoy acts very shy around her imo, not only that but there is an episode dedicated to the girl fight between chromia and lorie.  had nitro convoy been a girl, given chromia's attitude, i'm sure she'd have challanged both nitro convoy and lorie, although lorie does have quite the mouth, but chromia is very full of herself and loves being the only girl in the series.

 

the only reason they made nitro convoy a girl was stupid Powerglideing pc crapany way, he doesn't even look like a fem-bot

 

maybe something so the lipsync is so bad...

 

the lipsync wouldn't be as noticibly bad if they had better voice actors, imo.  i've seen that alot in anime, esp after i'm used to seeing it subbed.

I really truly wish that Hasbro would turn away from Japanime and come back to North American story telling. Yes, G1 was based on Japanese mecha, but that was 20 yrs ago and I want something that works for today.

 

Give me writing (w/ better plot lines and story arcs), VA and animation like they had on BW and BM and I will be very happy.

I don't think it is the VA causing the problems. They are using the script and the direction that they are given. I really doubt that many of them want to use crappy accents and say cheesy lines that were translated from Japanese.

Something similar to most of the G1 toys you mean. Yes , they didn't do it correctly all the time, but for the most part alot of the toys were semi to scale.

I have two full (and I mean completely full) 1 gallon baggies w/ all my spare missiles and parts. I do wish they would do something about this. It shouldn't be too hard to make a missile storable (ie like the original Optimus Primal. Places for all of his missile, his mace, 2 swords. That rocked. Which is why he is one of my all-time favorites).

not to mention that they're not really acting... since the animation came first, they're just mimicking something else. Which I'm sure is not all that rewarding of an experience.

I would like to see-

 

1:  Improved releases on par with the US

 

2:  New leaders and new characters

 

3:  New ideas for alt modes, like more starships for example

 

4:  Improvements with articulation, E Downshift for example can't pose too well because his upper legs can't move.

 

5:  Less fancy gimmicks that almost take up the entire toy, not every kid is fond on fancy gimmicks, well those that still play with toys anyway in this day and age.

 

6:  Improvements in colours, there can only be so much yellow that anyone can take and going fancy never helps.  Keeping the colours to a nice minimum on a single TF is nice.

 

7:  Improved advertising, the toys are for kids, so attract the kids by ensuring that the cartoon will be shown at decent hours that kids can see it at, also show adverts and generally market the idea, make it completely appealing to kids while drawing in the adults who used to be kids when Transformers was first released.

 

8:  Creative use of kibble would be nice.
