Yeah, as far as AM goes, Sideswipe is one of the best. Grimlock comes second. Optimus Prime is nice if you can get the reissue.

HEADMASTER: That's not a fan drawing, it was published in the January 1986 issue of Terebi Magazine. I believe the artist's name is Saitou Akiei.

SIDEWYS: The pic you posted is a knock-off Devastator. Boo.

Here's the real deal:

whats the diffrence?

What a load of crap. -AM

If you mean, what's the difference between knock off and original Devastator, a lot.

(1) the green is the wrong shade.

(2) the stickers are inferior - badly printed and on badly cut white paper instead of silver.

(3) no rub signs.

(4) no die-cast metal parts.

(5) no chrome - the chrome parts are unpainted, usually just green.

(6) Inferior sculpting - these toys just look different. The sculpting is often not as sharp or clean, and in some cases, some parts are the wrong size, e.g.: Devastator's forearms and hands are smaller and rounder than the original's. Some components don't lock together very strongly - not that the original Devastator was ever a terribly well structured gestalt, but the bootleg is worse. KO Devastator is more prone to falling apart.

Furthermore, wanna know why Devastator's never been reissued? Because of all the who have been buying the knock offs. Takara has stated that they are in no position to compete with the KO market, and thus have long said that so long as people buy KOs, they have no desire to reissue Devastator and other G1 gestalts that have been KOed. The only G1 gestalts that Takara has reissued have been ones that have either not been KOed when they were released or KOed to a far smaller scale - although they have all been since KOed - as you can see with this KO Predaking.

Real fans don't buy knock offs! Not only do they hurt the industry, but they are also inferior products - and most importantly, from a collector's POV, they don't count as Transformers!

I had Action Master Bumblebee. I thought he was really cool. Oh and when did they reissue Action Masters?

The Repainted Actionmaster Prime came with New Years convoy aka the most show acurate version of prime to date

i have a few Action Master items still.

Starscream and Banzaitron.

I also have starcreams vehicle and wheeljacks car. (both in terrible condition)

Also have Shockwave's partner robot, i have no idea what they were for.

and soundwave looks to be the best of all of them. He was square to begin with.

I had a choice. Action Master Bumblebee or Goldbug. Where AM Bumblebee looked fairly show accurate (despite the inability to transform) Goldbug was just a face, a big fat belly, two feet (no legs whatsoever) and a couple of weird arm things.

+ Bumblebee had a jet pack, no contest!
