Wow. I didn't think such an innocent question...would generate so many responses, lol.

Actually, I'm quite surprised they didn't re-release a G1 Jetfire yet but then again :shrugs: We all know how toy companies are, right?

Anyway, this was very informational, I now know a lot more about Jetfire than I did before.

Thanks for the info. :tflaugh

You're more than welcome. :thumb Next time try not to jump to conclusions when posting mmmmkay? ;)

Actually, HG has a history of legal crap. They were suing over exosquad using Battletech mechs because they allowed the mechs to be based on Macross designs, claiming they own the rights to mechs they didn't even design themselves.

I say someone should snag macross 7, pull some legal strings, and gain US esclusive license to the Macross and Valkyrie (when used in association to the name "Macross") names then stomp around on HG when they try to release their "Macross Valkyries". Force them to put the Robotech albatross back around their necks whenever they try to remove it.

The one company I can think of that could pull this off is Bandai, now that they release the JPN toys for Macross and have at least a partial interest in the Macross series. That and they release anime in the us now. Add that to the fact that Bandai is far bigger than HG could ever hope to be and it could be pretty funny.

I want a MP Jet/skyfire. I have the G1, and I wouldn't want it any other way. :thumb

Suggestion: Yamato toys has made an accurate Vf-1S (jetfire), and the armor that goes with him. Simply order both, and repaint them G1 Jetfire colors. To obtain this (and look at pics of it) go to : www.valkyrie-exchange.com. TransLabels or reprolabels can help you out with decals for him.
