I've seen way too many posts resort to _____ SUXXORS! Hot damn it's nice to read a good critique every now and again. I actually don't mind complaints so long as they're informed ones.

 

I only agree with your assessment of the faux roof on Tracks, to me, that cheapens an otherwise excellent design. It's admittedly a cop-out for G1 nostalgia's sake. But I can see where you're coming from.

 

Sideswipe is actually my least favourite of the BT lot at the moment. I felt the design could have been executed better.

My rant was only directed at the criticisms levelled at Meister when he isn't even out yet.

 

Totally. Which I don't even get. To me he looks totally kickass anyway (again, from what we've seen so far). I so wanted to believe that the RX-8 Transformer would be Jazz, but I wasn't sure b/c of the red. So when I saw that proto, I was like, "YEEEAHHHH!!!" (Actually, I was at work at the time, so it was more like "yay....".) But yeah, let's wait until we see a real photo of the finished product first. For some reason, some people actually seem to enjoy pissing all over everything. ("Ha ha! I was right! Transformers suck!" :tfhuh ) And they usually post the most ignorant comments, to boot.

 

 

And yes a 1/24 Ass Groove VW Beetle complete with Spike n' Carly backseat makeout actionâ„¢ would rock.

 

Maybe it's just me, but if I were Bumblebee, I'd be pretty bummed out if Spike busted a nut on my back seat. Then again, in later years he'd be able to sit down with Daniel and say, "Kid, I remember the night you were conceived. Your mom is a real screamer."

But then I remembered that Hasbro *did* also use this mold to make an Alt. Sunstreaker, but then they turned him into Dead End instead.

Dead End is a great re-deco, but in my honest opinion it's the result of the fandom screaming for, you guessed it, Decepticons. So now we've got one. And Hasbro gets to make another buck by selling us this version 1st. Clever. :)

 

I agree with the Sunstreaker comparison but G1 Sideswipe had a different transformation and wasn't the same toy. But he's grown on me a bit more and since he's an Alternator, he's better than most TFs in my book by default. :D

Hey, as long as tracks has articulation. I want my trans formers to do yoga, while folding origami. if they can't lick their own Afterburner, I don't want it...

a) I want tracks sooo...I'm gettin' a G1. I like the mold, I don't mind the Yellow...

I've heard people rip on Alt. Smokescreen, which I can't fathom. Go figure.

Hey, I don't like Smokescreen, OR Streak. But thats just 'cuz the grocery-getter looking 4-door car ruins it for me. To each his own, I guess. I referred to Tracks as an obscure character more in comparison to Jazz, Ironhide, or Op. He had a few good appearances and that was it. So he was more in the background than the more iconic characters. Now Skids is REALLY obscure....

:tflaugh i'm all for articulation. i probably won't have tracks doing that on MY entertainment center... but to each their own :)

You guys have no idea how friggin' sick I am of hearing people whinge about the fact that Alternator Tracks is yellow. News flash, people: no matter how much you might want it to be, Alternators is not G1. It may have the same continuity, but the shells and systems used have changed, which has of course led to colour changes.

 

And just generally, why do you care? Tracks can be yellow, blue, purple, polka-dot yellow and pink. He's still Tracks. Just LET IT GO!

Skids was in "Triple Takeover" (season 2) He got made into a throne for Blitzwing along with Prowl and couple of others.

 

As far as the alternators go, I can't really complain. I think that every single one that I've seen is going to be or is great. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but sometimes I think we(the fandom) nitpick too much.
