Maybe Devastator was thinking: "HOLY SH*T WHAT IS THAT TRANSFORMER I MUST GET ONE" and then he realized it was a hologram and he was so depressed that he didn't care if he got shot anymore

I do like that they actually gavce a goddamn reason for him being so unusually powerful that he could basically take on... anybody he wished. it's a better explenation than the Heart Of The Cards gheyness anyway. that one just doesn't make any sense.

oddly enough, they were subtle aobut it, never came out and outright said what it was, but they gave enough hints so you could figure it out.

 

first series actually had some decent writing for what was obviously supposed to be a little kids show.

 

during the first episode, there's this BIG ass thunderstorm, and Pikachu and Ash are being chased by several bird pokemon. I can't remember the species' name. anyway, near the end of the episode, Pikachu leaps in the air and does a huge Thundershock/bolt, and gets hit with lightning at exactly the same time. this basically gives him a permanent supercharge. in the next episode, his power is measured(Don't remember why) at a pokemon center and they mention it's off the charts or something.
