We have to remember that millions of years passed between the end of BW and G1. The Pred base was destroyed when Tiger Hawk landed. Tiger Hawk, Inferno, and Quickstrike all vaped by the Nemesis. Depthcharge's and Rampage's bodys were at the bottom of the ocean, where between the salt in the water and erosion, were never seen again in recgonizable forms. The Axalon was rebuilt and but near the ark, which was disrupted by a volcanic eruption. All the lava probably made short work of the remains, considering it wasn't much left other that wires and metal panels. On top of all this, no one was looking for the remains of anything. The G1 TF's had never heard of earth. They never would have suppected that their ancestors would have been there before them. How's that sound? Try and find a hole. I'm darin' ya.

Beast Wars was set in the future, long after G1, but they'd gone through some kinda time warp when they crashed, so they were on earthpast, but this happened after G1, so their base would only exist in the alternate reality they had created by going back in time and.... well, you get the same issues with any time travel story don't you!

I still maintain this. You see, there's G1, then lots of years, and then they go through a time warp ending up millions of years before G1. So it's after AND before.

The Beast Wars characters didn't know they'd gone into the past at first though.

I know it was in the future because there where lots of references to G1 characters as 'ancient heros'. Starscream appears in one episode as a ghost because he's dead from the movie. And they have like a 'memory sequence' with the original starscream in it. Primal and Megatron both refer to their G1 predecessors at various times.

So in G1, none of this has happened yet, therefore there are no Beast Wars relics or anything.

Of course there would now be a parallel universe where the Beast Wars relics DID exist in 1984, but that would be a whole new story. :tfevil

the ark was the ship base that they left with!

And why didnt the maximals pick up the stasis pods still in orbit, there were not enough new characters to explain them all being gone? I mean that would seriously help them in the beast machine wars.

Primal didn't know that the protoforms had survived in areas around the planet. The were later reactivated by Primal Prime, Tigatron, and Airrazor. Tigatron and Airrazor were revived by the vok yet again. Primal Prime was created using that exosuit Quickstrike was in while controlling Optimus Primal, and the Autobot Matrix serves as his spark. They eventually make it back to Cybertron Optimus Primal's battle with Megatron. Check out these comics for more info

Wreckers: Departure and Primeval Dawn

Wreckers: Betrayal

FYI, read Primeval Dawn first, Wreckers: Departure second, and Wreckers: Betrayal third. Oh, and this is official continuity, Hasbro gave it the thumbs up in that matter.

So much info. So what ever happened to the statis pods then?

Actually the DW comic did have a BW reference in it. One of the panels in the #1 issue of Series 3 shows a Maximal symbol on one of the Ark's doors.

never noticed it...can you put up a pic

I can't. My scanner is broken. Can anyone else?

the ark was the ship base that they left with!

No, it was a shuttle from the Ark. They even comment on it in the last episode.

So much info. So what ever happened to the statis pods then?

:redface ...read the comics LU. Basically they reactivate them all and they get beast modes as well.

FOUR MILLION YEARS!! 4 million years went by. There are hardly any traces of the Titanic left. Any transformer parts that were in the water would definately be gone. If Quickstrike and Inferno were left on land, they decomposed, eroded and are buried deep under ground with any other traces of the Beast Wars. 4 million years is a very long time! the real question is how did Shockwave survive all those years after Megs left him in charge.
