ive never been that impressed with city formers they just look so mehh now if they made a huge battle ship that had a base mode as well then idd be impressed

does megalo convoy have any base type aspects?

there is a apparently a 3rd mode whichis a base i heard about

There's the 'brute' mode....  but making any sort of 'base' out of the toy requires a fair bit of imagination........

According to Aaron Archer, base type toys aren't popular with kids...........

Really? That interesting?

I guess i was the werid one. I wanted a base so bad that I took the boxes that the transformers came in and converted them into sort of base like headquarters by stocking the boxes up. I guess imagination really helped out here. :roll

ok, good,

i'm not the only one crazy here. i think i'm so desperate for one i might attempt to kitbash an omega supreme or break down and buy a G1 metroplex.

This is where Lego comes in my friend.  I was thinking of investing in Lego to make Autobot City.  Would be a few tireless months of work.  I need more room.  :redface

I found the link!!

No plans though.

Hmmm... A nice big cityformer wouldn't be bad at all. Something like and upgraded Countdown or something like that.

I think the thing is that most Toy bases companies put out really aren't big enough to hold 90% of the main line toys.  I mean even when you look at Fort Max back in G1, only the Micromasters and the minbots could really use him as a base.

Add to that the fact that parents don't like spending the money that such toys cost and Bases tend to kinda shelf warm for ever.

Me I always made bases from cardboard boxes and stuff as a kid.  Even built an arc once a long time ago.
