last saturday i went out of my way to go to a target i hardly ever go to, only 2nd time i was there in fact, and found a nice mint divebomb with a one handled weapon. :thumb

i didn't think i'd find one. so i want to know how many other people here have managed to come across one. if you got one, did you open it? i just couldn't bring myself to open mine, so i got another one to open. :clap

and does anyone know exactly how many of the one handled divebombs were made? (at least an estimate)

i found one in a specalty shop, but didnt have no money to buy it.

One handled Divebombs are fairly rare, there were among the earliest made (like the infamous Sideways faction switch error). There are also some Divebombs that have no handles, but these are even rarer.

I think both can be put down as manufactering errors and I don't suspect many were produced, the two handled version is the intended version for retail.

Wait a minute, the one-handled Divebombs are rare? The Target near my workplace has like a dozen of them. Hmm...

Anyone got a pic to share to show what you mean? Thanks! :thumb

Me too, I thought that the two-handled was the rare one.

OK, the two-bladed Divebombs are simly production errors.

The one-handled Divebomb was the initial release (and is the "show correct" version), these are hard to find at Walmart and TRU as they have pretty much sold out of them and have moved on to the two-handled version. Target, for some reason, is only now putting out its first cases of Wave 2; however, they must have been sitting in the warehouses for a while as they are the bladed version (at least around here).

The two-handled Divebomb is the current release. Some think that the blade side was removed for safety reasons, others think it was done to enhance the play value (as now both sides can be seperately held at once). I favor the latter explination as the blade isn't particularly sharp and I think you could put an eye out just as easily with Strongarm's crane.

I am one of those weirdos that scouts their Walmart/Target about 2-3 times a week on my way home from work/school. So the first time I found him was the first run, and it was the one handled version. I like it better, because i don't use the "clubs of doom" in robot mode. I either use the combined sword or use the other end like daggers.

You can look in my sig at the monster weapon Strongarm is holding. Attached is the combined weapon with only one handle...
