Bumblebee should be a beetle but sadly that is not going to happen.

 

The shape of the RX-8 is nice and round like a beetle. Judging from Prowl, the designers apparantly put G1 resemblance on hold seeing how in terms of design he does not really match his G1 counterpart. They should have used a similar transformation as they did on Smokescreen or Jazz.

 

But judging from these, we can expect to see anyone as an alt. I very much doubt the orange RX-8 would be called Huffer. If he was released he would be called Wheelie.  :tflaugh

 

And perhaps a hot pink Honda (Windcharger) as Arcee just to appeal to female collectors. Both Arcee and the Honda are convertibles so in that aspect, the hommage would work. Heck, I would buy that.  :thumb

so if these in-box pics are out but not prime's, does that mean the next case asst. will be rico, rollz, streak, and skids? if so, that would = skids x3 case asst. = new shelf warmer.

 

also, theory on the new guys. demand that prowl be a suburu = hasbro giving us rico. demand for trailbrkr = rollbar. just like the tracks = swerve w/ flames. now that the demand for rico to be a mazda arises, i think it is safe(and sorry) to say we will get some off the wall TF as an rx-8.(i can see it now, orange rx8 as huffer!!!)

Hopefully the Stepper Takara version will continue the self-applied sticker tradition...

I wouldn't expect a black Subaru from Takara (they've already released that mold four times), maybe as a BTA repaint of the Mazda.

I really like the coloring on Rattrap. Cant wait to get him.

Nevermore posted in one of his masses guides to Alt/BTs that the RSX was originally planned as being Red alert. That's why he was missed labled on several sites(even Hasbro's) as being Red alert instead of Prowl. He even had a pic of Prowl where you could see the the head mold looked like Sideswipes and with Red horns that were Obviously added after the fact.
