Well than I guess I should clarify what Im saying. You say you want something 'different' well what if that meant putting a big clown head on the thing? That'd be different, but not necessarily an improvement. Could they change his current head up so it'd look cooler? Sure, but I doubt it. They'd probably end up using something that looked just meh.

So, since the Swindle head is so perfect, they should just use it on everything then? :roll Different =/= bad. Clown head?!?!?! Use some common sense instead of hyperbole.

That was my entire point.  Swindle was a bit player, and Rollbar is a nobody.  Since there's nothing new about Rollbar except paint, this makes him rather less than appealing to me (and quite a few others from the posts here).  You like orange.  Great!  Other people need a bit more than that.

 

Sure, you're entitled to your opinion same as anyone here, Im not suggesting otherwise and never meant to imply that I am.  But the bottom line is by merely suggesting 'something different' without giving specifics or having any real direction

I (and several others) suggested a new head, not your ambiguous "something different."  What more do you want?  A CAD file?  Hasbro is much better at designing these things than I am, as evidenced by there not being a single head that didn't fit the CHARACTER of any Alt.

Different = bad? No. Different can go either way. Stick a head mold like A-Smokescreen's on this thing and it'd be different, but it'd suck. But go with something that looked like Wreck-Gar's or G1 Scourge's with the beard and moustache it'd rock, although some would love it, some would hate it. But what do YOU think Has/Tak would sooner put out? Why dont YOU use some common sense instead? The clown head bit was just to prove a point.

 

Whats the convertible part have to do with the CAT part? There were no other changes such as retractible claws, more cat-like feet, or something else to go along with the cat head stuck on it. You should try a bit of that common sense yourself. Pwn3d....pl3@s3...

 

If you require so much more in your alts, then write to Has/Tak instead of Starscreaming about it here. I think the Riccochet alt sucks, you dont hear me whining. I just wont buy it. You didn't point out holes in his 'rant', you tried to create an issue where non was, you blew everything he said out of context and you have banged on about G1 accuracy far more than anyone else on here.

 

He said the lack of a new head mold was lazy for a line aimed at collectors.

He said he'd prefer a new head.

He said that this figure had no new molded parts nor an established character, so it didn't offer thing different to him Swindle had given.

I am not a BT collector so i am kind of ambivilent. But  I dont like to hear the line is doing poorly regardless.

 

Odd though - that the black version would be Nemesis and not Trailbreaker.

 

Id love to grab a black one and swap heads with Swindles - BAM TB!

and then the red one swaps with Skids and BAM Ironhide!

 

however - chances are that these two characters are not going to be skipped.... so we may just have to wait it out.

I'm going to have to agree with the Springer statement... G1 Mirage has those Sunstreaker-esque horns that go out and up, the horns on the alt prototype go back.  Also the cheek-vents have a pretty strong Springer resemblance.

Dude, the 'issue' was created when he took my statement all out of context. Which I addressed. And where have I said anything about G1 accuracy? I could care less about whats accurate to what for the most part as long as it looks cool.

 

He'd prefer a new head? Fine, no prob there. But when someone asks what you'd like in place of whats there--regardless of the way they went about it--why get all bent out of shape? I just pointed out that by suggesting something different, it may not be something better. I dont see the gripe there.

 

And getting all emotional? Not even. I call throwing in little icons and wording things as if youre screaming them to be getting emotional. But when someone gets all bunged up because they totally mis-took something I said and starts spitting out lame attacks, I tend to stand my ground. Period, end of story.
