This is the whole problem with TF fandom. Challenge someone's ideas, or ask for more clarity on something, and all of a suddent they shreik like a little girl.  All I said was if you want something different, be a BIT more specific. Just because I point out a few holes in your little rant you get this upset? Gimme a break. My 4 year old neice doesnt whine this much when you take the cookie jar away from her.

You didn't point out holes in his 'rant', you tried to create an issue where non was, you blew everything he said out of context and you have banged on about G1 accuracy far more than anyone else on here.

He said the lack of a new head mold was lazy for a line aimed at collectors.

He said he'd prefer a new head.

He said that this figure had no new molded parts nor an established character, so it didn't offer thing different to him Swindle had given.

That is all.

There was no hardcore G1 fanboy crap, there was no stating, or even giving off the impression that he 'couldn't ever be satisfied', rather he sounds like he's quite keen on the line and felt this was a drop in the standards they had previosuly delivered.

Seriously man, you're calling him the one who is shreiking like a child, but all I see is you twisting words, getting increasingly emotional, increasingly hostlie and bringing in what appear to be a whole bunch of issues that were irrelevent and nothing to do with him.

I could do that.

I could quote this:

I'd rather them go with a more old-school style set of wheels (ansen sprints, or even coke-bottle mags) or a prerunner style brush guard and add a lite bar to the windshield. Those are some changes that would improve on Swindle's mold, while keeping the things that are already perfect.

And I could start ranting about how these are robots first and foremost, that the priority is there, that maybe if jeep alterations mean that much you should stop moaning and contact Hasbro instead or that they already have a hobby where the vehicle is the most important part and is updated regulalry, it's called model car collecting, maybe you should check that out, and leave the alts to those of us who want to enjoy them for what they are, since you obviously cant ever be satisfied.

Or we could all leave our issues at the door and not whine obsessively because someone isn't as specific as we want them to be, picking their posts apart every way we can and ruin otherwise decent threads.

Dude, the 'issue' was created when he took my statement all out of context. Which I addressed. And where have I said anything about G1 accuracy? I could care less about whats accurate to what for the most part as long as it looks cool.

He'd prefer a new head? Fine, no prob there. But when someone asks what you'd like in place of whats there--regardless of the way they went about it--why get all bent out of shape? I just pointed out that by suggesting something different, it may not be something better. I dont see the gripe there.

And getting all emotional? Not even. I call throwing in little icons and wording things as if youre screaming them to be getting emotional. But when someone gets all bunged up because they totally mis-took something I said and starts spitting out lame attacks, I tend to stand my ground. Period, end of story.

"I could do that.

I could quote this:" You could quote what Id do to make something better? Did I say anything or anyone sucked because those things werent done? Is this whining? Did I say I wouldnt buy it because these things werent done? No. I just threw out a few of my own ideas. Which people do here all the time without anyone getting all offended.  You dont like my ideas? Fine, everyones entitled to his opinion. I dont know. Maybe a set of Ansen sprints took your lunch money when you were a kid. Maybe a lite bar gave you a wedgie. Sorry, dude. Didnt know it was such an issue for you.

But last and foremost, who is it that cant ever be satisfied? Soon as this guy is out Im grabbing it. If I want to make any alterations, Ill do it myself. Maybe you guys should write Has/Tak about changing the head. But if you do, make sure you have some kind of suggestion, as opposed to letting some bean-counter make the pick.  Because if you did that, you know what'd happen and thats what this whole squabble was about in the first place.

Well your response shows a total lack of understanding to my reason for posting, but at least one part worked.

I actually LIKE your ideas for improvements. They didn't say you're not interested in the line.

But neither did someone else wanting a different head mold, yet you accused them of it. In fact I copied and pasted some of your text so it was word for word when I bitched at you.

In other words I took your posts out of context in the same way you did others, I showed you what it's like on the end of one of your posts, not for malicious purposes, but with constructive intent.

And you understood just how retarded it looks, therefore I succeeded in making my point.

How you take that is entirely up to you.

So basically, youre saying that when typing on a computer screen instead of having and actual REAL discussion that things get misunderstood and taken out of context? If thats the case, then I agree 100%. Constructive intent as opposed to whatever I was being accused of? Exactly what I have in mind when discussing pretty much everything...

the orange looks good in that picture.

Yes, much less burn-inducing than in this one. :thumb

I dont know where you got that pic, but that must've come thru a photo-filter. The actual color of the toy is real close to the shade used on the real Jeeps, which looks a bit like Grabber orange (from the old muscle cars) but burnt  just a bit to bring the intensity down. Either way when I first saw it, it gave me Jeep-envy...

looks red to me

looks red to me

don't worry.  Shockblast looks purple to me.

He looks like a Devastator knock off

I donno.  I think this Rollbar guy is starting to grow a bit on me.  I can see putting him in the collection of Autobots and seeing him add something to the group.  I might buy him especially if he keeps the yellow visors.

Is it just me or does that head look more like Springer than Mirage.  :wtf

PO

If this line is aimed at some sort of authenticity, right down to even the colour of the actual automobile, the GT-40 only comes in a few colours (racing stripes optional); Mark IV Red (using white stripes), Centennial White (using blue stripes), Midnight Blue (using white stripes), Tungsten Metallic Grey (using silver stripes), Speed Yellow (using black stripes) and Mark II Black (using silver stripes). I have seen only one other colour combo but that is more like Perceptor than anyone else. 65%20Ford%20GT40%20MKI%20Gulf%20RF.JPG

Needless to say, this is more than likely going to be Mirage. Unless they make it Breakdown in the distant future, as the actual Ford line has no Springer green colours to it. Granted, they did change the colour of Dead End from a maroon to black but they also changed the type of car due to licensing rights, but I digress.

When you have to give a two-dimensional or incomplete three-dimensional head more detail, artistic licenses are always in effect.

makes me glad i have an extra deadend head laying around.....
