Oh by the way you`re GT has a much more believable transformation that theirs but their doors do open the right way but to be honest I think that`s just as good either way. :thumb Also I think I kind of forgot that we`ve had a similar conversation to this before. I just wish I had some batteries for my camera because I want to post how my Rodimus looks now with his wire spoke rims and 4x4 tires all off of the Revell Escalade model.

Dont say that. "different" or "original" may mean taking an awesome head mold like the one he has and turning it into something thats a pile of crap, like A-Hotshot's. Why mess with something that looks good just to have change? I'd rather them go with a more old-school style set of wheels (ansen sprints, or even coke-bottle mags) or a prerunner style brush guard and add a lite bar to the windshield. Those are some changes that would improve on Swindle's mold, while keeping the things that are already perfect.  Tell ya what though, that metallic beige color on his arms and crotch are history once I get mine...

Another Jeep. This time a straight repaint in orange (my favorie color) and actually doesn`t suck in that color. Unlike the yellow althoug you do see more yellow ones on the road than orange ones but eh.

Dude, that Jeep rocks. Nuff said. But I am just a LITTLE biased. And btw, that reddish-orange color is an actual color on the TJ, and it looks kickass in person. That could be why they went with this, there hasnt been an orange jeep from the factory since the 70's and they prolly wanted it played up a bit.

Why shouldn't I say that?  It's my opinion. :wtf  While I seem to be in the minority when it comes to caring more about the character of the toy than the bling bolted onto it, there's no reason why I shouldn't state what I feel.  Same as you getting all excited about a bit-part character getting a new paint job and becoming a throwaway character... you have every right.

Well than I guess I should clarify what Im saying. You say you want something 'different' well what if that meant putting a big clown head on the thing? That'd be different, but not necessarily an improvement. Could they change his current head up so it'd look cooler? Sure, but I doubt it. They'd probably end up using something that looked just meh.

 

And I could care less about some nothing character getting a retread. You say you care about the character? There is damn near no character here. Its just a name that while it fits the alt mode, never was attached to anyone with a real part in any story in the TF world. They could name it Tony Rocky Horror for all I care. Im just happy to see my favorite mold getting a new lease on life, especially in a color that looks good on Jeeps. As for the changed/added parts, Im only suggesting items that I think would look good on the alt mode.

 

Sure, you're entitled to your opinion same as anyone here, Im not suggesting otherwise and never meant to imply that I am.  But the bottom line is by merely suggesting 'something different' without giving specifics or having any real direction, that's the kind of thinking within Has/Tak sets the stage for them to do something really boneheaded. Like stick a cat head on a mold that was meant to be a humanoid robot, and make no other changes leaving a toy that looks half-assed.

Well somebody better sue someone...That company that makes the "Go-Bot" version of Alts (don't know what they're really called - They did the Landcruiser) also has a Ford GT (yellow with black stripes).

 

Still hoping that they do a Hot Rod re-paint or I'm gonna sue because I had a poll post way back when saying that Hot Rod needs to be a Ford GT and Kup needs to be a Chevy SSR!
