Yeah, I would too.

Beast Machines is actually the series I've seen the fewest episodes of and know the least about, but as far as I know it's still Beast Wars continuity and by that token G1.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with G1. It's still got a lot of great material that could be drawn on, and many new directions it could go. The problem is, the material isn't being used to it's full potential.

The thing I'd like to see most is something along the lines of G1, but with greater character development. Give Prime some flaws. Give the Autobots some real challenges. Give the Decepticons a real and dangerous advantage again(not like RiD, where they got the equivalent of a Starscream-slap every episode). I want to see a show with some real drama. Who knows? We might be seeing it in the near future.

The movie coming out is not for kids. It doesn't have fluffy bears, and if it says "And knowing is half the battle!" it'll be a joke for a nod to the old PSAs. This movie will be for the all around, action movie seeking, explosion loving movie goer. It'll be for you, for me, for that kid dcown the street, for your next door neighbor. If it does well, I think there's a good chance we may see a second TF show on tv, something driven towards a more adult audience, alongside the kid show. I see the movie opening avenues of possibility that simply didn't exist beforehand.

Here's hopin', eh?

why is everyone talking as if the movie isnt being released? is there something i dont know about?

The movie seems to be moving along so far. Some people are just being pessimists. I haven't heard of any major problems that would cancel production of the movie.

I would love to see a series where the robots use their forms for war and not just for disguise. I also want to see Decepticons who know how to fight and are not just a bunch of morons. I want the battle to feel like a battle.

you gotta extend them a little patience on the bad guy moron thing. it was the eighties. all cartoon bad guys were morons. i thought bw and bm villains were good. only morons were waspinator and tankor before rhinox woke up.

Yah, script problems!

Fans Starscreaming about a 80's flashback!

In this movie.... I want true Autobot Warriors.... not a ragtag team rebeling against a evil empire... with one real hero...

*damn that sounds like a plot for a star wars movie*  :wtf

At this point in time- I'd rather see a Halo movie than the transformers... or even a thundercats live action movie...

They're doing BloodRayne and Dead or Alive, both of which look utterly painful, so get your fill with those

But at the same time, we need an all-new storyline. retreads are simply a way of putting old characters in new settings.

This is the reason why I watch Galaxy Force and not Cybertron. In Galaxy Force, there are not many characters re-hashed with names, and this makes it appear new and not rehashed like the US version is.

I will partially agree with you. Originally Gundam was created to tell a story. The creator of the last series, Gundam Seed Destiny, said that he would create a series that would have people rushing to stores to the buy the toys and models.

I was about to raise this point in reply to Optimus3000 as well ~ though I should also point out that I think 3000 was dead on the money about the main goal of the TF franchise being to make money...all anime aimed at the certain age group that TF targets as a primary audience has the goal of selling toys and that's not always a bad thing, IMHO. I know that might sound like an incredibly random statement but I think that those very gimmicks can used to good effect in an ongoing continuity if the viewer remains blissfully unaware of the actual toys. I watched both Armada and then Super Link in a total vacuum, blissfully unaware of the toys that they were selling...and I enjoyed both of those shows all the more because of this. It was only until very recently that I actually got my first new Transformers.
