Do we know who else is gonna get a CD upgrade?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hotshot and Red alert will also be upgraded to Cybertron Defense status.

They are collectively known as the Vanguard team.

and yes, Scattershot (Sorry, I call him Backpack/Backgild, I call most of my TF's by their Japanese names cuz I refuse to read the packaging/watch the US translation) does wear goggles of sorts. all the head sculpts match, pretty much.

Exigeyser (Hot Rod) will be $10, Backgild (Scattershot) will be $20, First Gunner (Red alert) is $26-30. I think First gunner's the only one with electronics, and then it's only in the missile -- hence the super-poseable nature.

Funny you mentioned that there was only one Cybertron Red alert at your Wal Mart...

Last night I went to Wal Mart to get some random groceries, (they usually suck in the TF dept.), and they had SIX evacs, a ton of various basics, and one lone Cybertron Defense Red alert sitting on the side.   :tfhuh

All of the other stores in my area haven't even gotten Evac yet - so I also picked up Evac and Cyb R.A. last night.

Both are AWESOME pieces!  :thumb

I hate calling TFs by their Jap names because most of them are extremely strange and nonsensical to me....Exigeyser? Live Convoy (as opposed to Dead Convoy?) Godginrai? Mazinkaiser? Kaisers not even a Japanese word! It's German!  And anything ending in Gild or Geld....that means roughly "payment" in Old Norse and other related languages.

I mean really....that's just strange....I prefer the American names because they often reflect the personality, duties, or actions of the character. They just make much more sense. But grew up with standard G1 toys...I was too young and not in the loop to even know of the existance of the Diaclones and earlier stuff.  But hey, that's just me, you guys that get into the Japanese names, you're no more or less a fan than anyone else.

I'm just old fashioned.  ;)

Well, the Vanguard team's names all relate to weaponry and such. Some of the other ones.. *shrugs* I agree with ya, but I watch the Japanese series, so.. *shrug*

BTW, It's Live convoy cuz that's what he does -- he keeps people alive on Earth, he's on the planet of life (Animatros seems to be a planet of destruction, in all honesty).

and am I the only person who keeps First Gunner/Red alert's gun on his left hand?

hm.....

I haven't tried it on the left hand yet - it came with it on the right already attached.

I'll have to give it a try!

I  just got CDF Red alert today and OMFG I luv this figure it ruless... :clap

Nice articulation  indifferent on the arm gun though... but like it neverless..

Was any of you who bought REd alert, was the torso loose... or it just mine figure.

Can't wait for Scattorshot and Hotshot...

The big surprise to me on CD Red alert is that he stands. Awesome toy. Evac  is pretty sweet too.

By the way there was 2 left after I bought mine

and am I the only person who keeps First Gunner/Red alert's gun on his left hand?

I also keep it on the left arm. The CG on First Gunners packaging depicts it this way so I'll keep it this way. I haven't been keeping up with GF lately but I assume that First Gunner is like in the show as well.

It's just that such is how he was equipped in First Aid form.
