Could you make a step by step "how to" which includes what parts you used so that those who don't have $1000+ to shell out can attempt to make it themselves.  You can even sell it for a nominal fee.

 

theres 2 problems with this.... one is the lack of time i posses for this sort of project and two i wanted to do the same thing about the mp-01 trailer but there was allot of critisms about selling it so i decided not to.... so the same thing is probably going to happen with this as well.....

 

 

That is an awesome piece of work you got there. Everything about it is beautiful.

 

I think your next project should be to make a megatron using the walthers p99 pistol.  Its compact like the walthers p38 and looks spectacular with a silencer and a light or laser on the bottom rail. And is sed to be the most comfortable gun ever made  (im a gun nut) here:

but unfortunatly i wont be working on any project of the sort for one reason; i dont have time and i have allot of orders to build.... also there are tonnes of other projects that are waiting for my attention....

also this gun shape is the ONLY suitable and possible shape for an anime acurate type megatron that fits the size of a 20th anniversary optimus prime..... of course someone could prove me wrong but i have serious doubts.... an mp galvatron on the other hand is very possible so is a mp shockwave... but thoses are possible projects for another time.....

here is a pic of the current progress of megatron.... almost fully painted ..still have to make the extension and make a silencer and the external side rear plates... but it,s coming along nicely.... so do i keep the inner legs red ? also note that i have reworked the eyes and the face is a different silver...

well i think uve finally outdone yourself....how are you going to top this...this is the best thing i have ever seen it looks way cool painted the red on his legs looks fine its more toy accurate.. nice metallic silver to, now im even more anxious to see the final product

Looks pretty awesome....I like the eyes, very cold. :thumb The red on the legs looks cool too.....the silver almost looks too clean, but I think that will likely change when you get the detailing done. Something looks a bit off about the mouth though....almost too thin...or pouty....or...something. Not quite sure.

 

EDIT: BTW this is TOTALLY awesome and you should definitely have a congratulation party for yourself when you finish.

I love this project, ive been following it ever since you started, and it looks great, but a question (maybe a suggestion, not saying that its wrong), could you have put the panel that opens for the head transformation on his back instead of the front, or was this the only way that you could get it to work properly? Also, can his fussion cannon atatch to the side of his fore arm like in the cartoon so that he has free movement of his right arm?

That's an amazing job through and through.  I always find it amazing what people can scratch build and this is no exception.  Is he hard to transform?

Considering the costs involved in making a fully articulate/transformable Megatron of this scale I wonder if Hasbro could ever pull it off for say $100 a pop. Probably not.  :tdown
