What would BW Megatron look like

Recommended Posts

I seriously doubt that the next step in the crap evolution of Megatron would be Beast Galvatron from BW2.... going from a Super Transmetal dragon to that. :wtf

as far as tm2 Cheetor he doesn't even look like a cheeta but more like a sabertooth cat.

as for Gigatron... not really sure on that one. even Devil Master Gigatron.

So I guess if TM2 Megatron had never absorbed the power of G1 Meg's spark, he would have remained a Transmetal.  The effects on BW would be that Megatron would have been drastically weaker than Optimus, and thus would have lost the Beast Wars a lot sooner.

I disagree.  Megatron was only a TM2 for the last 4 episodes of S3.  He lasted against Op Op as a transmetal for a very long time.

But not by directly confronting Optimus. He pretty much got PWNED in "Optimal Situation" and had to leave before getting his ass kicked.

Oh BTW 6000 :P

right.  but Megatron didn't lose the beast wars even though he was just a TM.  If he had never become a TM2, the beast wars would've ended when Tigerhawk arrived.  Or, 2 episodes early.

My fanboy explanation is that it's just a mutant T-Rex. After all, TM Megs could fly, and he had lots of pointy bits like claws and teeth and what not.

I mean, you're not gonna tell me that TM2 Cheetor actually looks anything like a cheetah.

What's your fan explantion for Meg's line "Enter the DRAGON!!"?

I just never saw BW as being a contest of strength. It wasn't really played that way. I can't recall many times when Megatron was just like "let's go kick their asses" and that *that* would be the plan. He always used physical aggression as a diversion for something else. After all, Megs chose to attack Tigerhawk with a Decepticon starship rather than himself.

wow awsome expanations :)

I think that if not a TM2 he would have become some sort of giant chromed T-rex with huge cannons or somthing......with a turret mode, a jet mode etc.......would be pretty cool

when i was younger master blaster was a great ep...now that i watch it again, it was kinda crappy...it seemed that they were in such a rush to get the show over with :(

i think he would have leaned more to looking like G1 megatron, in color and similar transformation like optimal optimus

He's a Bruce Lee fan.

Hey, they made all kinds of weird references to things that they shouldn't have known anything about. But it's what made the show fun.

I think that Megatron assorbed just enough radiation from the TM2 Driver for the mutation to lay dorment in his system, but not cause an outright change, the energies were released when his body came in contact with Megatron's Spark and the lava.

Indeed it did. I am still laughing from that Optimus Primal imitating Superman bit.

And Beast Wars (unlike the Japanese cartoons) was not about power. Megatron always had a plan within a plan with in another plan. And if that plan failed he usually had some  backup scheme.

When his plan to kill the Maximals with the help of Ravage failed. Megatron headed to the Ark and tried to kill Optimus Prime. Of course that failed too but he did manage to destroy the Maximal base.

And a little later he managed to steal Sentinel from the Maximals. So he was pretty successful even with his army which consisted mostly of bots following their own agenda's.

Scorponok was loyal but did not last too long. Turantulas was a slagging traitor and a very cunning one at that. Blackarachnia was also  trying to backstab Megatron but was never as clever as Turantulas and finally defected to the Maximals after meeting Silverbolt, Terrorsaur was a typical Starscream, Inferno was loyal (but drove Megatron nuts by calling him Queen), Quickstrike was loyal for the most part but finally betrayed Megatron by dumping him in lava, Rampage was loyal but only because Megatron had his spark and TM2 Dinobot also betrayed his "master" in the end.

So he had very few really loyal troopers but was still able to nearly win the Beast Wars which is very impressive indeed. In the Japanese series, the Decepticons always have the advantage but never win. In Beast Wars the opposite was true but Megatron achieved more than any Deception leader ever did.

Proving that a sharp mind is the most powerful thing there is.

As for Megatron's final change. The toy was made a TM2 as those were the only toys in store at the time. Which is why Tigerhawk is a TM2 as well and not a Fuzor which would make more sense as he is a eagle/tiger hybrid.

As for him being a dragon and not a t-rex. A dragon is more impressive than a t-rex in my opinion. A T-Rex, as we now know, is a scanvenger which is hardly fitting for a Predacon leader. And a Dragon, despite being a mythical beast, has something cool about it.

The spark of Megatron probably started the change which the lava finished as Megatron's new form needed to be resiliant to heat. I would think that the ability to breate fire (as dragons tend to do) is also a a result of the lava and therefor also the reason why Megatron was reformatted into one.
