I think that was the Alt. Smokescreen from Comic-con. :yay I didn't make it to the masquerade, but my friend told me a fella rolled out a lil' Subaru and started pulling it apart and attaching it to him. I understand that they chased him off stage before he got the chest on.

Cosplayers are indeed the most atrocious subclass of nerdery.

This suit took:

3 weeks working evenings.

3 prototypes (one of which was "hulked" out of mid fitting...

1 pair of "good" shoes

10 glow-sticks

$3 in gluesticks (Thats about 100 hot glue sticks).

$0 in USPS Priority Mail Boxes (About 10 Boxes).

23 burns on all 10 fingers from the hot glue.

1 roll of packing tape.

12 cuts from my exacto knife slipping (2 puncture wounds from the tip)

50' of yellow plastic film.

25' of black plastic film.

Endless fittings and try-ons...

 

End result?
