Own 4 version, a tape, the Dutch DVD release (which has Blot omitted and the ending saying Optimus will return), the US collectors edition and the new Reconstructed edition.

That one is pretty neat as nothing is cut off the screen and you see a lot more.

I still love watching it (especially the first part) and it is still one of the best animated movies I have seen.

I know the script by heart. NUFF SAID!

ditto! :thumb

I own the Vhs that came out in 2000 I think & the DVD.  I use to watch it every day.  But now maybe once every 2 weeks.  My 1st time I saw the movie was 1995, a buddy found it over his dads house.  I was a G1 kid & not knowing what happened till 10 years later was a bummer.

i enjoyed the death of op, i liked hr turning into rp and taking over, um saying damn and spike saying $h!t was priceless, jazz surving was cool to and the cassette fight :clap

I LOVE IT!!!!!

Okay it does have its faults, but what doesn't? I think it's still a good movie by todays standards. Definitely a "Desert Island Disc" for me!

(Like I'd be able to watch it  :redface )

I cast teh meh. After the movie, TFs in general just seemed to suck IMHO. I know there's various reasons for them pushing TFs in that direction.. namely, to bring in new characters because the first two seasons were so widely successful. Killing off more than half of all the cool characters in season 1 was not nesicarrly the best idea. Those that did survive like Soundwave, Cliffjumper and so on were reduced to just one shot cameos.. I just didn't like the new cast as much..

We're all gonna complain about it's shortcomings and drawbacks to no end, but the bottom line is, it is what it is, and that was an entertaining, beautifully annimaed film, that no matter how upset I get that certain characters were killed off, I will always watch and enjoy.  Same for Gi Joe the movie (although that's a stretch)

I saw it on the big screen as a kid and was blown away.

I love it.

For the longest time i watched it on VHS......when i borrowed my friends DVD copy i was Blown AWAY!!!!!! a new found love just from the simple "S*it" from Spike was worth everything

I downgraded my vote to "it's okay" b/c I just watched part of it this past weekend. The tone is jarringly different from the TV show, it's gratuitously violent, the animation quality is very inconsistent, the new characters are -- by and large -- uninteresting, and the entire second act is one giant snoozefest. When I was younger, TF:TM was definitely the high point of Transformers for me. But it just doesn't interest me as much as it used to. It's all flash and no substance.
