I voted do not mod....i guess I a nazi or something because I like him the way he came. I dont put them in Uber Gey bendy poses like the rest of you I guess....I just like a nice straight up stance.

 

Um, you *do* realize the whole gimmick of this line is taking G1 bots and re-imagining them using modern toy technology, right??  Toy technology that allows "Uber ghey" poses instead of total brickiness like G1, right?? Stand 'em up straight if you want, but don't bash those who decide to take advantage of what the toy has to offer.

I don't know.  I think he may have been intially conceived to have been the other way around (as the legs become much more posable); however, I think they changed him pretty early in the design process (probably to avoid looking too much like the Mustang mold).

 

I also think a similar thing happened with Meister, as the figure is 10X more stable if the "reverse foot" transformation is used (plus, that little heel piece seems to work much better when rotated all the way with the "reverse foot").

Interesting. However, the mod fits so well that its hard to think that someone didn't incorporate this into the figure at the design stage.

 

As many here can back up, the range of motion on this figure is vastly enhanced after the mod and the overall look of the figure is also improved (and is also more G1 accurate!  :tftongue ).

Next Prowl question:  What's the hole for on one of his undercarriage flaps?  Located under the red vent, on his modded right leg.

Okay, just found out 2 Things.

 

1 The butt of Prowl's Blight Stick can fit into the hole over the vents on his leg. Why, Who knows? But it fits. Plus as was stated, Mainline weapons and Minicons can fit into that same hole. As a result......

 

2 All main line figures with standard sized peg hole hands can also hold Prowls blight Stick. What a Cowinky Dink. So Clocker(only guy I tried) can hold The Blight Stick. One more time, Blight Stick. One of the Weapons I know the name of besides Fusion Cannon, Ion Blaster, Sword of Fury and Null Ray.

Next Prowl question:  What's the hole for on one of his undercarriage flaps?  Located under the red vent, on his modded right leg.

I thought about switching the legs on my Prowl for about 2 seconds and then kicked myself for thinking it. I like my stuff, pretty much, the way it comes.
