red lancer has terrible kwality. front windshield is held by something probably weaker than elmers skool glue.

plus a few end up wit 2 of the same hand

1/12 felt a lil more durable, but was damn unicron sized

1/32 lacks some artic that the others have

As Solscud says, we bought a lot of Roadbots (here on the board). I ended up with the Land Cruiser and Hummer, and I got to see the 1:12 GT a bit.

The quality varies. The Land Cruiser is hard to get into car mode due to having a lot of little panels that slide over one another, and the overall quality is somewhat like a KO (I have some KOs that are better quality). The robot mode is cool but he is a bit flimsy. The Hummer and GT were much higher quality - stiff joints and good plastic. Some of the robot modes are really simplistic while others are decent.

Some of the robot modes have very small waists when seen from the side, etc. Not beefy enough.

I saw the scale comparison at that Japanese Robot Laboratory site, 1:18 was way bigger than Alts (~_~). I think I'll get then 1:32 GT just to 'dip my feet into the water', so to speak.

these are what is known as roadbots some are bigger and some are smaller than alts

meh, the officialness of them has been debated much like the officialness of the chinese "reissue" g1 figs. they are questioned because they're made by happywell who are not only based in china (bootleg capitol of TEH world), but also because happywell made the ko figs that came out in walmart and several other places.
