Transformers that have surprised you?

Recommended Posts

Optimal Optimus & Fire Convoy both surprised me. I expected them to be nice before I got them back in the day. But each of them blew me away when I got them opened and transformed.

Another one is Supreme Starscream. It looked great online, but in person he just rocks. :)

The cybertron scouts. I've been enjoying them atleast twice as much as the voyager class. I need to see how the deluxes measure up.

Landbullet:  I  strongly dislike that dayglo shade of Green as a color, and aesthetically speaking the robot mode seems excessively out of proportion. The transformation isn't exactly a feat of engineering either..........

However, somehow, it seems to work, perhaps because  the unsual aesthetics, garrish colors and simple transformation, all conbined together, make it stand out from the rest of the line....

Alt. Grimlock. I know everyone loves Alt. Wheeljack, and it would be reasonable to think Grimlock would pretty much be the same as they share the same mold. However, like others, I thought Grimmy looked a bit plain since his paint scheme matches Silverstreak's (even if Grimmy's is G1 accurate).

Anyways, I finally was able to get Grimmy, and after poping off his head once and the doors infinity times, the robot mode blew me away.  :thumb (car mode is ok too)

I didn't have a problem with the head of my Alt Wheeljack when I got it yesterday... the  doors popped off more than once though.

E-Starscream suprised me alright. I set off one of the missiles by accident & it nearly had my f***in' eye out!

energon towline, an amazing robot mode and one of the only modes in energon that looks like it wasn't affected seriously by the powerlinking.

Armada Bendy Prime. After the crap Super version, we get this nice, posable, well proportioned little guy. Even my girlfriend wanted to play with him.

Energon Ironhide

I said I'll never buy this crap...

and when I saw it in store, don't know why, I bought it, and now, I love it...

I remember I bought cliffjumper only to provide him legs for is super mode...

i was exactly the same way. but i didnt like cliffjumper much.
