Oh, it just HAS to be G1 for me. Not just for the nostalgia factor, but also for the sheer variety. For each "gimmick" in the G1 line, you can find parallels & influences in the new ranges, minicons = head/target powermasters, beast wars = predicons/dinobots, energon combiners = G1 combiners, real-life cars in the alternator line = original autobots, and so on. Plus there were some outstanding 'bot modes :tfdance  :tfdance

I like the Alternators the best.  I'm 23 and like cars.  Don't get me wrong I have many others too.

The Alternators are my favorite because they are real cars.  I think if hasbro made other realistic lines they would catch on fire too.

Like real military planes, real looking scorpions, whatever.

Meanwhile Enjoy my wheeljack and armorhide.

I really like how the Jeeps transform.  I think they're underrated.  They stand great and look great.

Geez..can't just pick one..

Alternators, can't say no to those..

G1 - to an extent. Pre Movie are the only guys I really like.

Beast Wars, nuf said.

Cybertron - cool designs.

Is there a way to set up a Poll where you can vote for more than one choice? I was torn between Alts, G1, WSTs and the various Re-issues. I think BW, RMs, RID and Cybertron all deserve mentions too!

Hmmm... I would pick Beast Wars as number one on my list since it was the series that truely made me into a transforers fan. Second would be R.I.D. because most of the transformers that gave me a challenge came from that series Third would be G1 because I grew up with it. Forth would be Energon because they made the Decepticon toys so awesome and they were kick ass too!

*shameless bump*

It looks like BT & G1 are neck-and-neck. Any voters out there wanna swing the balance? (C'mon, I know there's more of you lurking around!!!)

i voted for G1 - you gotta love the start...

G1 - but they are really fragile to a degree.. story lines and tech sheets made them fun.. but the real look (for their day) really made them..

which is why naturally.. my 'new' collection is

BT.... and ATL.. in that order.

BT for the reality and style..

ALT so i can actually handle them and touch them a bit more w/o fear of scratches and ruining them...

Not much of a fan of any of the others... and I don't really like the post-movie G1's either.. there just became too many of them, and most looked like they belonged in happy-meals.

I love how they have made ethe BT's all cars.. including the decepticons.. i hope they continue in this mode of professionalism... consistancy.. and quality... and know when to  END IT as well...  there are a lot original G1 names to go thru.. but i really don't want to start seeing Cosmos... and seaspray...

all the lines are cool, but I think RiD is the most fun.
