Masterforce was the show in Japan after Headmasters. It had the pretenders and the Headmaster Juniors in it.

Car Robots was our Robots in Disguise

Micron Legend was our Armada

Superlink was Energon

Galaxy Force is our Cybertron

master force was the japanese series which noticed powermasters. and had god ginarar in and also the other junior headmasters getting noticed as well as seacons which appeared in the series on a regular basisIts a shame he never got released

Masterforce  was 100% designed for Japan.

A dubbed version did appear on Star TV in Asia, which (i think) is a subsidiary of Fox.

So it may have aired on cable/satelite in America.

Micron Legend is the Japanese verson of Armada.

Energon is the Superlink cartoon, albeit with a missing episode or two and (apperently)

some holes in the storyline/narritive.

come to think of it i believe the masterforce series will be officially released to follow the headmasters series dvd as that states vol 1

Masterforce was very Power Rangers esque. Not all TFans like the direction it went in (me especially)

masterforce from Japan, the episode not so exciting as headmasters and victory.you can get more info form TFarchive

You can download the episodes from www.tvnihon.com has well. I've watched up to episode 28. The plot and backstory are kinda wierd. I can't even wrap my mind around a basic explanation.

Masterforce really isn't anything like what we in the west consider transformers.  You have the Powermaster, which are human's who have been linked with transforming mechs.  Thus allowing them to power and control these robotic warriors.

Then you have the Pretenders.  Bots who shrink down and hide within humanoid shells.

It really is much closer to Power Rangers and similiar Japenese series then it is to any US style release.

The show was only released in Asia, the toys however did make it over to at least the states and I believe Europe as well.

However the storyline was changed when they did that so that it could link better with prior US releases.
