I was ready to sign up now but it states that I wouldn't get the exclusives that have been released already this year.  Thats kind of odd.  I understand if they only make them in conjunction with the number of members, but shouldnt there be a price drop for every exclusive you do not receive?  Unless I misread the info.

I believe you can buy it from the Club Store.

Member's Price: $20.00

Non-Member's Price: $60.00 :eek

Send a club member $20.00 and they might order one for you :thumb

I like the club. The newsletters have been pretty neat. I wasn't too excited about this years exclusive thought. The clear blue and melon color really wasn't my thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could've swore that Brian said we would get two exclusives from on. I thought I read that somewhere in an interview with him, but I can't seem to find the article.

I'll renew.  I still haven't really explored the store or their forum yet, but I'm sure I will soon.

Their forum isn't even up yet.

oh.  that explains why I haven't been there. :tflaugh

If you sign up now, you'll get the 2006 freebie when they mail it.  so you're still getting the same thing as everyone else, just a different expiration date for your membership.

Next year there is no "free toy" and 6 issues of the newsletter isn't worth $40 to me.

I don't understand. Are we not getting the next limb of the gestalt for the $40+ fee :wtf

Yes we are.

Oops, my bad.  I hadn't looked at the Club's webpage in a while.  When I joined it only stated that those who joined by March 15th would get a "free" figure - it didn't really say anything about the following year.  However, the way it was worded made it seem that the "free" figure was a one-time bonus for joining the club early.

I'm still kind of "meh" about the whole thing though.

You don't get 2 exclusives "free" with membership, but there will be fan club exclusives to buy in the club store. Supposedly they're trying to get one up and ready very soon.

What? Another Buzzclaw? :lol J/K

For clarification, Brain Savage said we get one free exclusive every year and 6 issues of the comic/magazine for the $40.00 fee.  I've got that sitting in an email from him from many months ago.  I posted that entire email, with permission, in public on the boards.

I also heard something about there were supposed to be two exclusives per year and you would have to pay for the other exclusive.  That was said semi-recently though and don't recall any details.

As far as not getting this year's exclusive, Skyfall, for free goes.  That isn't a new development.  There was always a cutoff deadline for that offer from the get go.  It was an incentive to sign up early.  At Botcon they were pushing for people to sign up for the club by giving them all five comics/magazines but no free Skyfall. Not a bad pitch considering they're charging $10.00 for each backissue so that would save a late joining member $40.00 in that aspect.  Yea I know there have only been four comics/magazines so they were including the upcoming issue in that.  I don't know if any of that stuff was on hand though.  It was probably we'll mail it to you when we mail your October issue out.

I don't know if I'll renew.  I have a free year from Hasbro though over the whole OTFCC fanclub thing so I'm a member untill March 2007.  I've got plenty of time to decide what I want to do.  Thus far I don't have many complaints fanclub wise.  I wish the comic/magazine had alot more content but it's supposed to be getting that.  That was said several months ago so hopefully it will be provided in the October issue.  I haven't done buiness on the online store but I haven't had money to spend there.  The selection looks decent.  Sticking all the LOC stuff together in a set was a good move so that and Decpticharge have been tempting.  Everythng else though for the most part I've had for quite a while.

What does everyone think about the "newsprint" part actually called Master Collector?

I just joined because they had the 7 figure set from botcon and by joining the club at the same time I got the whole set and a membership and shipping for the same price as the set did for non-members. pretty good deal to me
