Because they dropped the ball in Armada and called a Decepticon Wheeljack, so they don't want any confusion from the younger fans.

hasbro Primus has a componet the Takara one doesnt?  Gues they think a device that can get lost that is vital to transformation is a bad idea too ;)

That's because he's the updated form of Energon Downshift.

Just some thoughts:

 

 

'Dark Crumplezone - Crumplezone repaint.' - Maybe a better colour. I've generally liked the Hasbro repaints over the original colour schemes.

 

'Octane - Decepticon Repaint of Jetfire.'  Another evil twin makes an appearance.

 

 

'Hotrod Repaint of Hotshot (Excellion). '-  This should be the version of Hotshot that's the closest to G1 Hot Rod.  And they'd better include the flames.

 

 

'Metroplex Leader with Heavyload minicon.' - Megalo Convoy

 

'Menasor(Drill) w/Heavy Load minicon' -AND 'Quickmix(Cement Truck) with Stripmine minicon' . The two Giant Planet Transformers that Takara hasn't released versions of so far.

 

'Pictures of both Hasbro Primus will have component that the Japanese Primus will not have.'  - Pictures of BOTH Hasbro Primus?  Do they mean a big Primus and a smaller one? I hope the one whose pics have been floating around the net is the smaller one.

 

 

'Unicron Deluxe

NEW MOLD.Futuristic Tank version.

Cannon over right shoulder.

Matrix type hole in chest.' Looks like I'll be getting a second Unicron, after all, but I don't really want him to be Supreme-sized this time. My budget couldn't handle it.

 

 

'New Items - Beast Wars Megatron in a totally new mold.

Retained original forms but with much more detail and CHIP Feature.

New Items - Beast Wars Optimus Primal.

Same concept as new Megatron with all features.'  Hopefully improved designs. Not too sure about the chip feature, though.

 

'Star Wars Transformers Rumor Confirmed. ' Should be interesting. I always meant to get some version of the X-Wing. If it turns into a robot, even better.
