...and if you don't make tons of money... at the end of the day I'm pretty sure both of you know that what you do is way more important than that.

 

I wasn't trying to say anything about the condition of your place... just noting how damned lucky I am to have such a nice apartment for only $300 a month

We would both agree that our jobs are very important and and also that we each love what we do!

 

As for your "comment," it wasn't taken as an insult by any means  :tflaugh1  I just thought I would expound a little, that's all. :tfgrin

AH, memories of apartment life (with and with out a signifigant other) having ones stuff crammed onto book shelves, and having plastic shards all over the couch...

 

$300 a month?!?!  Yea try at least $1K for a decent place round here in NJ.  My old apartment was $700 when I left, its gota be almost $1,000 now per month. 

 

My X used to collect "Bone" figures and comics, bunny rabbits and beanie babies, and lots and lots of books.  I'd get yelled at for spending $20 a month on a lot of junk TF's just to compensate that I could not afford toys paying all the rent my self, and reduced it to customizing only...so she could spend all her money on her books.

 

My current lovely lady is into movies, TAZZ and shot glasses, all of which I think is COOL.  She even went as far as to get a TAZZ tat, and car sticker.  Oh and holliday decorations, so when we hit the lottery and can afford a house we'll need a BIG atic or storage space for the non display items. 

 

I plan on making the basement the "Collections Den" for mostly ME, the rest of the house my girl can do mostly what ever with. 

 

And there are days I do actually get a flash of ideas or inspiration and want to go work on it...only to be stopped by mountains of other things in the way.

 

I have the same problem looking for something, searching through the masses I find a bunch of other things and have to stop to say find the other wing, or see if I can repair something...

I know exactly what you mean. I started to kitbash a Universe Ramjet (that's right, Spring Value Pack 2004) into a G1 style Jetfire. I made the back section fold back so the cannons would be the boosters, scratch built a cartoon accurate head, scratch built a G1 style helmet to fit over that head... the only thing left to do was put the engines onto the boosters... That was were it got left off in August of 2004 (that's right, one year ago). I haven't been able to get back to it since due to house repairs and family medical issues. All that's left is putting on the engines! Ahhhh!

I can't have a /damned/ thing, I swear to god...

 

My roomate's brother just put one of my nice china plates in the microwave to heat up a hamburger and burnt off the gilding.

 

This is the same kid who Sold all my Magic cards because he didn't see me for a year.

 

...We won't even get started on my roomate. I wish I could afford to live alone.
