Check it out, I am sure this is what the 3rd mode is reputed to be, the 'Brute' mode.  It still has articulation in the knees and everything. The Autobot symbols are upside down due to the fact its not a production peice ;)

 

*edit* the blue 'flaps' do fold down allowing 'reverse' head articulation as in the pic of him next to Unicron.  I am 100% confident this is what the 3rd mode is as it all slots together so well.

Hooray it's less lanky, but still not interesting enough for me to buy. :)

Already have him on Preorder.  His alt mode will need some work, I think i'll have too add some kibble so he doesn't look like he's jsut bent over, but over all i like the mold.

for the first time people are complaining a mold doesn't have any kibble. first i've heard of this ever occuring

I love his bot mode, but you need to see his alt mode for the lack of kibble to make sense.  Its very streamlined, and when you add his weapon its pretty cool looking, but its very obviouse that your looking at a robot that bent over and it basically on his hands and knees.

He's a leader class figure, and I have him on pre-order at JRS Toyworld :clap This only confirms my eagerness to get ahold of this guy.

Jag, that is awesome.  I like that figure soo much better now.  He was good for the lanky version, but he is great with this version.
