Also, price-gouging on shipping should be illegal, if it isn't already.  If it is, someone needs to bring this to the attention of the US Post Office.  You CANNOT profit from S/H.

It's the "handling" portion that allows this.  Handling is considered the labor involved getting the product ready to ship, packaging, etc.

No, buddy, you aren't. I would make the "Powerglide gas money! I can ride everywhere for $3.50" argument but if every where I'm going isn't on the same bus line, I'm like screw it. I live in Baltimore City and all the stores that sell toys are in different parts of Baltimore County. Not one store in the City It so sucks! Riding to all the stores searching would mean Several hour + long bus rides. I dont know how many hour long rides I took out to Hunt Valley Walmart after work just to find out there's nothing I want. Then I tried to get slick and think, "Hey the #8 rides past Target. That's a 15 minute ride from this Walmart!" Get there and find even Less. I hop on the bus and dont wanna do nothing besides go home. I got so desperate to find new Alt that I found a Walmart that's a 15 min bus ride away from my job. Do you know that from Mid Oct last year till like march they had the same beat up returned Smokescreen on the shelf, not even marked down. before new years they had like 15 each of Smokes and Swipe :eek

I'm not a club member though.

Well you make a good point. I guess I'm lucky. In my area I can take a bus or skytrain to almost any part of town. But Alternators is practically dead in Canada so it's internet for me.

Well, i guess i am stupid because i just got my alt prowl in the mail today from big bad toy store. He was def over $30 with shipping, but well worth it. I have both binaltechs as well and forgive me, however I like the silly G1 Paint Apps...A lot....THe BT version looks like its missing something, especially on the chest. I didnt like paying a lot for him, however I know for a fact that if I didnt pick him up when they had him, i would never see him in a store. Alternators are for all said purposes, dead where I live in NJ with the exception of the  Burlington TOys R Us. 2 walmarts and 2 targets have Nixed them completely. A few stores about 35 min south of me carry them, however right now I cant afford to drive that far with a z28. And honestly, i would spend more then 30 in gas driving my beast around! I think it's silly that pepole get made at others for buying Alts online and paying more then 20. Its my money, ill spend it how i please LOL. 

If you really want something then you wont mind paying extra.

a few months ago when I found out the G1 Spy changers where out at Dollar General I started hitting every store in my area, I finely found it at a Dollar General clear at the other end of town, the little buger only cost 3 bucks, more money went in to the gas so I could find it!

 

All that time I could have ordered one from JR's Toys for a total of 5 or 6 bucks.

 

some time ordering online makes more scense.
