too much humans and far too wierd artwork

Agreed.  Who the hell cares about that girl, or any other human for that matter?  Who is drawing this?  I thought they were going to get Don.

I think Don Figueroa is signed on at Devil's Due Comics.

Give it a break. It's an issue #0 and is only ninety-nine cents and those were only the first five pages.  Different series have different issue #0s.  The issue #0 of the new Conan series didn't have Conan in it, not unless you count that statue of him.  The new G.I. Joe series #0 had a story that led directly into the regular comic.

I've been sitting back and watching the comments about this preview of a preview of a... etc etc for a while and I've finally decided to comment myself.

Problems people have been having with this:

1) No TFs.

??? I count three so far. Runamuck, Runabout and Starscream. Yes, the terrible twins are only in car mode (which, incidently, seems to be how they spend most of there time) and yes it's only Screamer's jaw, but THEY ARE THERE. And after whatever that girl swiped. So, I would say it was a safe bet that in a few pages time, there will be some interesting events occuring.

2) Too many humans.

See above and remember the principle of dramatic effect.

3) The art.

I see nothing much wrong with it. That's my taste and my opinion. I loved DWs art, and I think it's a fair bet that some of the DW artists might eventually work at IDW, but I like this style of art just as much. It's different, simpler, but not necessarily worse. I think there's quite a lot of people reacting badly to the sudden shift in styles, but again, that's my opinion.

4) The action, or rather lack thereof.

It's the first five pages of the opening issue. Therefore: build up.

5) The names.

Hmm... The girl's is passable, but the bloke's... ah, I couldn't care less. I'll wait for the rest of story before I make judgements on the writing.

Well, there we are. My opinions.

Phew. Glad I got that off my chest.

This rings a bell.

simply put- if the storyline doesnt link to the dreamwave universe tehn i wont bother buying it.

It won't. This is yet another whole new thing. The final Dreamwave stuff won't see the light of day for a while (If at all) due to legal fijjywijjyness.

:pfx 100%!!!!

it looks fine to me.

in the book the  transformers are fighting a secret war on our planet and we are oblivus  to whats going on and the only people who think they are real are the same people who think  the moonlanding was faked and the US Airforce has been covering up the exsistens of UFOs.

'Nuff said.

I like the idea of "Robots in Disguise" taking centre stage. Should provide a great new angle to view the [sorry, THIS] G1 universe from.
