Springer was the weakest by far.  He went from a vaguely car like vehicle to the same vehicle with visible robot arms, a tail section and rotor blades.

By comparisom, Broadside is the height of engineering.

Sandstorm and Octane are both pretty decent toys.

don't remember the guy who created this, but he sure had it out for Broadside.

Octane kicks ass!!!

And I'll say Broadside because I never had him.

This was moved!? I should have specified that I meant show-wise... :redface

Show-wise I'' have to go with Sandstorm since I can't seem to remember him at all.

Octane was kind of cool with his "Defect-icon" storyline.

Broadside has 3 modes: Aircraft carrier, Giant deformed plane, giant deformed robot. All brick, all the time.

Broadside was crap, for all the reasons above. The revised instructions are scarily true.

Sandstorm, however, was the win. Funky car, funky chopper, funky 'bot.

OMG lol ive got to try sumthin like that with armada scavenger

Bleh. I always hated Sandstorm, the toy and the toon.

Sanstorm was uber ghey in the cartoon(didnt look like the toy either). Looked a bit like Wheelie BTW...

The toy was great.

He also "enjoyed" a small part in DW's War and Peace before being sniped and killed by Runamuck/Runabout.... :redface poor guy...

Broadside, fo shizzle.  Sandstorm and Octane kicked ass about equally, but with a slight advantage to S.S. Dune buggies rock.

If we're talking toys, Springer was by far the worst triple changer. The helicopter mode was cool, the car was okay, but the robot mode just sucked. Blitzwing would be second (again due to the robot mode), but I've always liked Octane, Astrotrain, Sandstorm, and Broadside. Broadside gets way too much hate, but, then again, I don't give a damn about articulation.
