Alternator G1 Red Alert

Recommended Posts

So I had this grand scheme to only do Armada characters since most people won't touch the characters...

But then I started reading the Windcharger section of the BinalTech story about him being able to travel between parallel universes...and I said...man, what a great meeting...Armada Red alert meets G1 Red alert...and all I needed was a G1 Red alert.  (Sorry the BinalTech Asterisk one is a joke made to satisfy the Prowl G1 purists...but I'll buy it too!!!)

Here is the top half of G1 Red alert (I should be finished by the middle of the week with the rest...which, in time I will have the cross-dimensional meeting of Red alerts)

Basically its an Alternator Sideswipe, head painted red, body painted white, the light bar is from a Universe Prowl, and doesn't interfere with the transformation.  soesn't interfere with the transformation.

very nice so far :thumb

Red: "I...I can't feel my legs!!"

Very good so far, I like how smooth and even the paint job is.

HAHAHA...actually the legs are done...its something else...thats a little more important thats not done!  (his crotch..hahahaha!)

Thanks everybody, I'm really trying hard to get a great clean coat of paint from a can of Krylon Fusion.

I actually did mess up one of the legs...the front quarter panel of vehicle mode).  I actually ended up spraying too close to the piece, and it ended up all lumpy.  In panic, I grabbed sand paper like an idiot, and tried to remove the still-wet paint....IDIOT!

Well, I made it worse, and learned the hard way, to let it dry before trying to fix a mistake!  Patience really is a virtue!

very cool. i like how the light bar looks on the chest. will it double as a weapon of some sort in bot mode? none-the-less it is very sweet! cant wait to see the finished product.
