you sir at the master ( sho nuf' ) what painting methods did you use?

Allof what I do, I picked up on this board or on TFMaster.com

 

What I do when painting a figure, is after disassembly, I make sure to wash the piece with soap and water, and let it dry.

 

After that I mask the piece properly with blue-masking tape.

 

Once masked, I always spray the side that doesn't get shown first.  Then later I work on the most visible side.

 

I take the piece and spray it a little bit with Krylon Fusion.  I don't completely coat the piece, I only spray a thin spattering of paint.  I hold the can of Fusion like 7 inches away.

 

After 15 minutes, I'll give it another spray, this time a little closer and a little heavier.  I hold the can like 5 inches away.  This gives the piece a heavier coat.

 

I then let that dry overnight/8 hours, and then give it another heavy coat.

As far as selling Red alert.  I don't know...I don't think I could ever part with something I busted my @$$ over...hahahaha.  Red alert and Prowl have always been my two favorite characters...and to be able to say I own customs of them...is really something!  I suppose I could make another...but then...mine isn't as unique...hahahaha

 

You know, I was just talking to Glaug from TFMaster about this extra Tracks I have here...and I was saying that I should make a RID Prowl...but the Blue and White version...so many plans, so little time!
